Do you even realise what you're saying. People appointed before 2004 were promised pension as per the scheme at that time. They obviously can't revert that back. And btw, your problem is with others getting pension or you guys not getting it!

Actually there are Two Tiers in NPS. Under Tier 2 you can withdraw amount before 60 as well. I think that point was missing here.

If i am not wrong new NPS also offers tax benefits. We can claim tax deduction of up to Rs 1.5 lakh under Section 80C of the Income-tax Act, 1961. An additional deduction of Rs 50,000 is available for investments under 80CCD (1b).

In old pension scheme. The employees get free amount from the government irrespective of there work. Private employees get nothing. When you get salary then why should you be given pension. Why should the tax payer pay for your free income for life when you are no longer productive ?

To understand perfectly the situation of Freebies- People should read the terms and conditions from IMF to Pakistan to save their economy- The very 1st point IMF ordered Pakistan is to "Stop the pension of the employees and Cut the Military budget ASAP."
