Lester sold me some Korkers in Whitefish a couple years ago. Had me sold on the Montana/ summer, Hawaii/ winter fishing lifestyle as well.

Tenkara fishing is a lot older than 200 years old. A whole lot.

this is old japanese fly fishing style. i used to fish tenkara when i was kid. i use western Fly fishing method now simply because i can cast far. Tenkara is more like a wet fly fishing. i dont remenber if there was any dry fly.

This was how all fly fishing used to be; swinging wet hackled flies from a buggy whip rod. Perhaps it was introduced by Europeans when they arrived in the 1600s and remained mostly unchanged only to be rediscovered now.

What's the tool that was used to remove the hook from the trout? Seems like it is significantly less traumatic to the fish than removing it by hand.

These Tenkara videos inspired me to buy a Tenkara rod. I'm a fly fisherman but new to Tenkara. So much fun. Here is the very first fish I caught using a Tenkara rod: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nabKpn54mLSfkJo
