You definitely have to educate yourself! I have a cousin who was declared Autistic/ Developmentally slow in the late 70s. His mother married and they moved to Germany in 1980/81. He had to be tested there before he could start school. They told her that he was being put in the special class. She said fine she was expecting that! Their special class was the Advanced Class. It turns out that he was close to being a Genius and the school here in Virginia never actually tested him they just went on his teacher’s word! He works for the government and is happily married with children today. Parents have to know their children for their self!

You are the most proactive parent I've ever seen on any platform and I mean that 100 ..the way you make him receipts and practice it with him and the things Ty says and says to my Lil buddy Beans(and BTW I just love that little dude 2 pieces he reminds me of my now 16 yr old son and he's just the smartest little dude I've ever seen and that there is a reflection of how great of a mama you are ) ...but just those things put me in amazement of how hard you have worked with him and I just love your little family and I appreciate you sharing your story and your Lil family with us !❤❤❤

You didn’t know what you didn’t know. It’s the professionals that SHOULD know. When I initially had my son evaluated for autism, they said he wasn’t on the spectrum because he made eye contact and understood friendships. I took that at face value because I didn’t know a lot about autism. We tend not to educate ourselves until we’re faced with the reality of the situation. Once I researched more and learned that’s it’s called a spectrum for a reason. Not everyone presents with the same characteristics and more professionals need to learn that.

Yes my son is 12 now. He was nonverbal up until like 4 he was diagnosed with "Aspergers" not directly Autism. But now they classify them all as Autistic. My baby is high functioning with delayed speech, fine motor skills and Adhd BUT GOD 🙌🏾‼️He is doing so much better now. Speech is way way way better. Tyler reminds me so much of my son. The way he talk and acts with that sly smile😂JuJu do the exact same things. Coming from a small town in Mississippi, he's the first child that they've actually did so many things with and documented. It's amazing. He's the cool kid. Everybody love JuJu😎The children at his school are so so helpful with him

However, getting the services your child truly needs and educating self as a parent about your child’s learning abilities is great parenting.
