Super solid day out on the yak. Really like seeing how people get after it in different parts of the world. The water looks to a whole other playing field where you are.

Hey Rich, we can't see the fish finder screen. I realize you have several cams, and dealing with them can be a hassle. But a fish finder came would be really cool so we can see what you see. Keep up the good work, I appreciate your videos!

i got a gomexus handle for my bg mq. the stock knob really does feel like a twig in your hands. anyway, it's a full handle assembly so you just take your old one off and put the new one on. gives you a full sized power knob for about 30-40 bucks. worth it imo, it's the only bad part about the reel. you've got pretty good sized hands like i do. i don't think anyone else makes a threaded reel body for that price.

Lower Matecumbe fishing the Caloosa Rocks. In between the rocks and flats is great Sea Fan and coral relief. Head west and it follows all the way past channel 2 and Craig key. Spent many hours fishing this area. 🙌🏻

Next time you are there throw out some rattle traps in the shallower reefs. Mangos love them.

Drag may have been to tight. When I troll crankbait I set the drag pretty light then tighten up during the fight if needed.
@FishAholicTVКүн бұрын
Yeah possibly. This crankbait dives about 12ft on the troll and some of the sharp coral heads come up to 6 or 7ft. Maybe a grouper ate it and went around the structure. Who know but we live and we learn haha. Thanks for watching!

Rich in my experience when you get rocked up pedal the exact opposite way the fish got in the rock (usually the opposite direction of how you were reeling them in), go maybe 75 yards while letting line out then put your hand on your spool (max drag) and and pedal slowly. I get most muttons/grouper out that way. Letting out a bunch of line and going the opposite direction will give u a better angle.
@FishAholicTVКүн бұрын
Cool, thanks for the tips!! I'll try it! Tight Lines!

Dude this kind of day is my ideal fishing day...few big ones but just a bunch of bites. Personally I don't get these often but last time I did I caught 2 high 20"s redfish, a decent speck, and a ton of bluefish. Was awesome! The Bluefish made it the perfect day. The tug is the drug right! I don't care what's on the end of my line as long as its a fish.
@FishAholicTVКүн бұрын
Hahaha exactly. I was on cloud 9 at the end of the day! Thanks for watching!!!

You should come up and fish the Panama City area with me. Got tons of spots inshore for trout, reds, snapper, sheepshead. We would crush it!
@FishAholicTVКүн бұрын
yeah that would be fun. I actually fished out that way after an offshore trip. Found tons of redfish but I couldn't get one to eat!
@scottsluggosrule4670Күн бұрын
Please think about going to 1 treble...this why shad lure work fine 1 hook in middle is all that is needed..safer for fish and for you. The rear treble damages the most hooking belly and if inhaled..gut and gill hook.

@FishAholicTVКүн бұрын
I didn't know he was doing that... But he is a great fisherman and we text back and forth all the time. When I texted him I got the 29" Mutton he rushed to get out there haha. When I moved to Florida a few years ago I started fishing these little Crankbaits for Snook. In the Saltwater retail space they don't make a lot of little deep diving plugs like this so you have to get creative. Trolling these cranks along tidal river edges, structure, and below spillways the snook can't resist. Last year I helped my dad get his PB 40.5"Snook on that tiny crankbait hahahaha. He couldn't believe it. Thanks for watching!
