I just thought after coming back to this video: these would be great swimbaits for stripers here in the Northeast! The size & shape of these are a dead-ringer for bunker! Not sure how well they'd hold up to bluefish, but still--these could be really effective up here!

That big bait need a stinger instead of offset hook. We use that size for pike here in UK and i wouldnt dream of use them hooks. Shallow screw, 3 split rings, hook in third splitring. Swivel, splitring. Swivel, splitring until you happy with second hook just at the tail starts. Looks amazing that mold, shame its so expensive to send to europe 😔 thank you brexit.... keep it up pal

I think you answered this In a video but I can't find it. How much is it approximately to get into soft plastics. Obviously the molds get expensive but that could be purchased slowly more interested in the plastics, pigments and everything else required to get set up. Think I've got most of the equipment hot plate spare microwave. I'll need to get a soldering iron my gun is a little bulky.. Tia

ok, ok, maybe I will try open pour. I tried injection molding years back and stopped messing with it after a jet of molten plastic rocketed within millimeters of my face. Open pour seems a lot less sketchy.

I notice you don’t have a 3piece bait with a lip. Is there a reason? I recently tried making a 12” lure no joints. Lip must not have been big enough, barely any movement. So I decided to cut it in 3 pieces. I’m working on paint job now. Just trying to brace my self for failure. Thanks in advance.

Your soldering iron is calibrated in degrees Celsius rather than degrees Fahrenheit. 180°C = 356°F

we need all of the details on these baits when you make them, man. we know it’s 7.8” but what’s it weigh? I know i’ve got some big baits that don’t weigh much, but there’s a ton of plastic in that bait so I wonder how heavy it is. also, you might want to ditch the treble hook unless you’re fishing in really open water. with just that beast hook, you can throw that thing in to some super nasty stuff.
