Born and raised in Merritt Island. Fished this area early 80s brings back the great memories! Did not have a boat, but would be out wading in my Levi's far into the river before sunrise searching for these trout and redfish around a special spoil island. Back in town again, bummed to see my favorite little spoil island in the Indian river is now completely gone. Would love to get back into fishing these waterways.

How would you not want to measure a big trout? It was my aim this year in south Tx to catch a 30" +. I spend many long days using every method I could think of/ And while I had many late 20"s and even a 29" I couldnt lie and call it a 30".

Great example how to gently handle your catches the Cpt. What a Spec. Don't know if you will respond but have you considered or maybe do an episode from the very 1st one you have created to today? That would be very cool and great to watch. And kudos to them Oyster beds.

Congratulations on the clam project. Marco Island where I fish is in desperate need of a clam/eelgrass project like you have there. There are zero clams and very little eelgrass in the Marco Island area. Eelgrass and clams Disappeared on the Marco Isl.area many years ago and the fish went with it.
