VinnyGBK She’s a Captain and she’s the director of the CCA. Her whole life is about fishing & fisheries. I’m pretty sure she was not scared of a black drum. I think she said “he’s there”.

Thanks blair. Black drum have moved in and multiplied tremendously bein' there's no sea grass in Titusville. That's ok better than no fish. You can tell redfish and trout love there sea grass.

Getting ready to move clams to the Space Coast. Should help grow grass.

The big problem no one wants to talk about or just does not know or understand was the overwhelming growing population of manatee (until this year) staying in the titusville and mosquito lagoon year round for the past 20 years growing each year. The warm water discharge from the power plant caused the manatee to not migrate south in the winter (pre power plant discharge natural pattern) keeping them in the lagoon and indian river year round, on warm winter days they leave the power plant basin and feed on the sea grass not allowing the grass time to rebound in the winter and early spring. This would be the same as grazing your cattle on the same field all year. I was told by a power company employee the power plant no longer needs cooling towers but the state told FPL they had to keep the warm discharge as the manatee were accustom to it. This whole concept has removed the habitat for many species now including the manatee as they no longer have a food source as they have stripped the lagoon clean. I am not blaming the manatee I am blaming our government for incorrect management of Gods gift of resouces to us. Hopefully with the manatee learning there is no food here they will find other resources for a few years giving the grass a chance to come back.
