Madden on Playstation in the early 2000s had a training camp to develop your created character. They could just grab that script and it would be an actual skills showcase. That being said, these are the top of the crop that worked all year and "failed" technically in their goal. I'm ok with silly games to take the edge off of that, especially if they have an option to participate
