Big Stone Lake State Park Hike, MN - 7.11.2024

Big Stone Lake State Park is located around six miles north of Ortonville on the Minnesota-South Dakota border.
Big Stone Lake is 26 miles long and is Minnesota’s 10th largest lake and is the headwaters of the Minnesota River.
Big Stone Lake State Park is split into two sections. You can hike on self-guided nature trails. The northern section, called Bonanza, is a peaceful, quiet, day-use area and has the best hiking trail of the two.
The Meadowbrook hiking trails, a total of three miles, pass by small patches of native prairie and some bluebird boxes.
