We got Shoreys So similar to Sandy's where I now live in Australia.. Some of them are straight up Hectic bro!!!...Australia is renowned for it's Heavy slab and offshore reef action, ( and there are Plenty of shallow, pitching. shallow, and well heavy reefs, points and slabs around too..), but it is a Massive coastline ( beyond comprehension really, in Size..) and, the Same swells that hit those manifold, heavy and hectic reefs and slabs also, inevitably, hit the many Heavy shories also...All of the attention goes, by default, to the world class reefs and points etc, but rest assured, the shorebreak fans are far from disappointed... There are secret and semi-secret shorebreak slabs near my new home that are Right up there with Sandys , and comparable, in Every way, to pretty much Any Shorey in the known world..(!!!)...( That exception being to allow for Waimea Shorebreak [ and Maybe one or two others])...Am Stoked!!!..Full respect for Sansys crew, and every charging shorebreak lunatic in the world...Charge like absolute lunatics, Lads!!!!...We lovin' and livin' it!!!...!!!!

Place is SO Hollow....Looks like lads are gonna be right in the impact zone as they're heading out, and then the barrel just pitches Completely out and Over them...!!.....LOVE this Wave, and Dream of getting to bodyboard and bodysurf it on a big swell one day....Bodyboarders Dreamtime!!.......

See the sand at 36 and 37 seconds getting whipped up and around , that's the crazy thing about Sandy beach , -- not the BIGGEST waves but they whip you around under water. I body surfed there with a bud in 76 and it was nuts. Second wave I got caught up under water , flung around , missed a BIG piece of coral or rock by 2 ft, and slammed on the beach. Got up and both of us said fuck this . lol , I was wearing shorts with pockets ,and both pockets had an INCH OF SAND in THEM.

Most of thes people are probably Locals ( " da kine brah ") . They're frigging nuts LOL no disrespect. Had a lot of friends there. One night at a local bar Samoans and Tongans got into a major brawl . The place emptied after the owner called the cops. Two friends and I ,(Haole's) ,were still there . He gave us another drink , and told us he was glad nothing worse happened because they were Samoan syndicate , and most of them were packing. We said thanks for the drink , WE GOTTA GO ! LOL
