Seriously, as the oldest of 3 children my father raised by himself, by 12 I was responsible for doing all the grocery shopping, going to the bank to pay the mortgage, all the cooking, all the laundry and watching my siblings while my dad worked 3 jobs. It wasn't all bad and my father did what he could to give us the best life and I had a lot of life skills at a young age but my anxiety in my teen years would have been less or non-existent if I didn't have to worry about all that at the time. Bella seems like such a sweetheart.

I can't wait to see Bella's senior year video. My daughter graduated in June & I would have loved her to record her last year in high school. It was her favorite year. Liam was so deserving of the new phone, he seems so humble, kind and responsible. The way he only asked for a Sprite when backpack shopping proves that.

That video is gonna be awesome! It was Logan who got the phone 😊 He deserves it but I noticed in the last couple videos they have been talking a lot about how he is the most incredible child, even in front of the other children. That worries me. Specially for Liam and Rylan. Liam is also starting middle school with him, new season in life and I feel like maybe it would have been special that both of them get to buy backpacks at a special place and not Liam at Walmart and Logan by himself in a special moment and a beautiful store. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the family and all they do but I think for more special kid he is, isn't fair for the rest because they are niece kids, great siblings, sweet kiddos, humble and grateful 💖

I will sing the praises of Jansport FOREVER! I got my first and only Jansport backpack my freshman year of high school. I used it all four years, then all of my university years, I use it now whenever I need something more substantial then a purse, like on a zoo visit where I need to bring water and snacks, or if I just take a few days trip for travel, or hiking and picnics. That backpack is life. To get what is now 25 years out of it for just 45 bucks spent on it at the time, is superior value. I will use it until it falls apart, but that doesn't look like any time soon!

I’m honestly surprised how often they need to buy backpacks, here in Germany most kids stick with one or two fro their whole 12 years of school. I got a new one in 8th grade because I wanted less colourful too, typical teenager but my first backpack was still in good shape!

I love these vlogs but do the kids need everything new every year? I live in London England. During the 12 years of schooling here my daughter had 3 or 4 school bags. When she started a new department in school (age 5,8 and 12]she got everything new and a top up what was needed every year.

Not to age myself 😂 but I got my Jansport backpack my junior year and I literally just used it for a short overnight trip last weekend. That was in 2002 and it’s still going strong though high school, college and everything else. It’s always my carry on for the plane! No rips, holes or anything! 😊
