Reading in the captions Cooking All Together, I thought that everyone would "cook" something. With Tristan as supervisor of course. So each one can experience the temperature, the weight of a pan, the time of cooking, and tossing or flipping skil But it must be my lack of comprehension of English which isn't my native language. A suggestion: Let Aurora (Brody?) use a children step stool at the counter or stove. I wish you all to find pleasure in preparing a meal together and to master the essential skills. And have fun practicing and progressing.

@@lindadriessen9027I can see how you would think that because the kids didn't technically cook. The title should of said 'We prepare ingredients together' because cooking suggests the kids were at the cook top like Savannah cooking the bacon. I personally think getting kids into the kitchen as cooking is an essential life skill. 😊
@lindadriessen90275 ай бұрын
@@amyrivers4093 Thank you for reacting. And I do think as well that cooking is an essentiel life skill kids should learn. It might not be everyone's hobby or forte, but how cool is it to help eachother out in case of illness or incapacity of a parent/sibling ? But also how to use leftovers or use ingredients of the season.

Tallow also known as beef dripping is really good for roasting potatoes or making chips(fries). Also for Yorkshire puddings which are served with roast beef, roast potatoes and steamed/boiled vegetables and gravy(not the white gravy). Yorkshire pudding is a British style pancake batter made with egg, all purpose flour/ plain flour and milk or water, which is cooked in a deep sided metal roasting tin which is heated in the hot oven with lard or oil or both then take it out pour the batter in and cook about 35-40 minutes @410° f. If you cook some sausages for 10-15 minutes in the fat first when heating the oven then pour the batter over the sausage links. Put back in the oven and cook for 30-40 more minutes. Do not open the oven door until that time or they will sink. Let them puff up and the batter should be pretty dark brown. Take out of the oven and serve with a brown gravy. Traditionally we add slow cooked fried soft onion gravy with it. For the Yorkshire pudding batter. 75g gluten free flour normal or self raising, 75g cornflour, 200ml vegan milk, 2 heaped tsps baking powder. 6 tsps oil Needs to be able to get very hot so not olive oil etc. This will make 6 so you will need to adjust recipe. Be careful not to overfill as they will expand and rise.

@@lizacrochets98I love both the Yorkshires and toad in the hole. Yorkshires are very commonly served on a Sunday with a roast dinner. Toad in the hole is more of a weekday meal, and can be served with British style baked beans in tomato sauce(found in the British section of most big food stores). The beans are also what we have as a quick meal on buttered toast.

Are Jamie and Tristan close in age .why is it different ,is it then you would have adopted a mother and daughter. I hope you are seeing Joe sometimes it is weird ot seeing him around.
@divahc15 ай бұрын
@nadineopa40 It's to do with how old the kids were when they were fostered. Melinda was able to be adopted b/c of how old she was while being fostered. Jaimie, on the other hand, was maybe not officially fostered because of her age, or wasn't "in the system". I'm not sure, but that's the crux of it. Melinda and Tristan were/are able to be adopted b/c of a legal loophole A and C found whilst looking into the possibility of adopting Melinda.
