My view on this leaves me with questions like 1 How will humanity Benefit 2 Will only the big Tech Giants benefit from AI. 3 Will Govts hire AI experts to monitor the Big tech Giants for the rules of engagement. 4 Well meaningful efforts to promote AI by the big Tech Giants appears good and I am inspired to ask will all of this Technology be motivated by greed in the process. 5 Will Govts promote the responsible use of Ai to protect the planet from mass unemployment. 6 The EU has instituted the AI act to protect Europe with responsible use and I ask out of interest and concern if there are repeated violators of the AI act will the EU go beyond the set fines for all violators promoting Zero tolerance for justice to be served. Well, it's expected - GPT is playing on enterprise, Google built a model to support small devices (Gemini Nano), not much India can do, these companies are miles ahead in their data collection game. What we can build is apps, models require tremendous money and power to build. I'm proud of what India is doing to be honest though, local language llms have started to enter the scene and it's pretty good.

We see what others have done, learn it and then create our thing like ISRO, ola, Flipkart, Zomato, OTTs, IPL, economic strategies to name a few. Originality, funding research, relentless efforts is not our thing. Research scholars in India are called Taxpayer ke paise per palne Wale budhdhe😅. Google funded 13 major universities to pursue cutting edge research on NLP. Almost every single top Indian research institute is funded by government only.
