Big Thief is the most real band I have seen in a very long time, and Adrienne Lenker is this generation’s best songwriter in my opinion. I just love how the lyrics can be so visceral and so moving at the same time... Her songs, to me, are all about how life can be beautiful and crushing at the same time. And I love how they four look like they are not trying to be anything they are not, and MAN, there you see a show well played! And I can see all that through a screen in my living room in a melancholic self distancing brazilian evening... What a time to be alive!!!

Yeah I got the Neil Young thing too.. When he's live, doing the extended guitar solos where it has no real structure, but he's going where it takes him.. I think it helps that he was a bit limited on lead guitar intricacies which made him freer to do what he felt rather than being chained to the music theory
