I think Wild Turkey announced that soon the Non Chill Filtered Rare Breed may get national distribution and not just at duty free shops which a lot of us are excited for. I would love to see them do like Evan Williams or WT 12 year become less distributed overseas and distributed more in the US if these recent Tariffs start effecting international sales.

For the Turkey fans, there should be an 8 year 101 coming this year. Same as the 70th Anniversary Edition and according to Bruce Russell, the price should be consumer friendly. In fact, he said if you liked the price of the 70th, you will really like the price of the new 8 year 101.

This has been available in Japan for some time. TBH it's not that much better than regular 101

I live in Chattanooga TN I went on the Chattanooga whiskey tour it was fun and at the end they gave us samples also a gift shop and then a coupon for free coffee next door and the cost for the tour was 18 bucks it's not just the big distillery tours go to the small ones as well

Makers mark is doing a lot of that outside Kentucky. I live in the Dallas Texas ish area, and get invited to events they put on a few times a year. The large drop specs did on new years, makers had a big trailer there giving away free bourbon donuts. We have been to Kentucky several times, visited most of the distillery, you can tell which ones are really putting money back into the consumers and which are not. I think we might be coming back again this summer for a few days. It’s always an excellent time and that is my best shot at getting allocated bottles. The market is extremely saturated with flippers here which has really pushed out a lot of people from drinking bourbon here.

David nailed it with BBC. Their 50ish bottles are so good people are willing to spring for their pricier stuff more often now. With the wind down distilleries need to focus on quality at all price points if they want to sustain success. Their customer is so much more educated now and know what is good and what is labeled crap. In the down turns of all business cycles customers flock to quality. Bourbon is no different.

Still good bang for your buck. $40 isn’t overpriced by any stretch of the imagination. But secondary prices.. yeah I get your point. It starts to lose the value there. I’m in Louisville.

Great video guys. I know it started in 2024, but I think the big thing in 2025 is going to be finished bourbons...and especially cigar blends. Also, many will start going to higher proof releases as you talked about. Looking forward to it. Thanks!

Great. They’ll probably discontinue ER-10 and replace it with ER-12 with an MSRP of $120-$150 followed with some marketing hype about how it’s a much better for fans of ER.

I think because bourbon is a niche industry a lot of the larger cities for the mainstream distilleries often do like master distiller events where a Master Distiller goes to a handful of local bars or restaurants and they kiss babies and sign bottles and do like pairing dinners and that's how they keep brand awareness and that has been working for us in like the Phoenix market for instance.

I only have one question about the BT 12 release. Why can’t they put out more ten year instead of going on this money grab. If people think it’s still hard to impossible to get Eagle rare just wait for the 12 year. Prove me wrong. I’m not a BT fan boy so not really interested in whatever they put out but the states that rarely see anything or only once in a blue moon this isn’t helping them get a bottle. And it’s supposed to be 80 why the ten is 35-40 so two extra years is worth double I’m sorry but I’m not getting sucked into this money grab. BT should be ashamed for gouging their customers again.

So a couple of things. 1. I totally agree you with on the point of them just using the stocks to make more 12yr. Or heck to even do more barrel picks would be nice. 2. I can't speak for where you live but I know here in KY we are starting to see a lot more ER. To the point it will sit on shelfs for a few days. Yes it isn't a bottle that you can find on the regular. But it is getting better here and normally when that happens other parts of the country start to see more of it but it does take time. 3. A lot of the pricing issues isn't because of the distillerys a lot of times. Sure they will have crazy stupid prices such as Weller Millennium lol. But a lot of the time the distro and stores effect the pricing more then the distillerys. But thank you for commenting you made a lot of great points! Cheers 🍻

If they make more of the allocated, we won't be able to find or afford it. Benchmark is good juice for the $. I use it in mixers but I like single barrel neat as well.

@ there’s plenty of good mixers on the market already. I want BTAC bottles available. Produce more of that good stuff. It’s basic supply and demand. There’s no real demand for 15 dollar bottles. No one’s standing in line for benchmark. It’s on the bottom shelf for a reason IMO
