The 05 is because it's from 2005 (which is when they debuted).. The 05 is there, because Super Junior was originally going to have the 'graduation concept' - like what NCT Dream has. There's only 12 members in this mv, because it was before Kyuhyun joined. (also you're right, YG didn't do it like SM back then. YG didn't really have a lot of famous artists back in 2005, where SM had (or had had) H.O.T, SHINHWA, S.E.S and BoA etc.)

SMP songs are so unique. This, Dont Don, TVXQ 'O', and I think one or two others are this style. Most if not all of them have a lot of social commentary in the lyrics, but they didnt do as well so SM doesnt do them as often if at all anymore. I cant really name any newer songs in this style off the top of my head.

There is one way that I and several other kpop fans would define the kpop generations: any groups debuted in 1992 - 2002 is 1st gen; 2003 - 2011 is 2nd gen; 2012 - 2018 is 3rd gen; 2019 - ? is 4th gen. Of course there are other definitions too, just take this as a reference.

Actually, yes way, LOL "Twins (Knock Out)" is Super Junior's debut song and MV from 2005 so this came out almost 15 years ago. This was when they only had 12 members. Kyuhyun wasn't added to the group until about 6 months after their debut. And Henry and Zhoumi weren't made part of the group until the debut of Super Junior-M in 2008 which officially made them a 15 member group. All the members of SuJu are in their 30s now. Welcome to the world of SuJu, they will blow you away and confuse you all at the same time. That is one thing you will get to know about Super Junior -- they are amazing performers and singers, but they are also one of the craziest and weirdest groups around. You will never know what to expect from them. And they are constantly switching up their style and sound. With so many members and with so many sub-units, as well as the fact that their career spans so many years, they have pretty much covered all aspects of the entertainment industry and all styles of music and dance. Once you get to know them better, you will see that they are more unique then any other Kpop group out there. So many of SuJu's members personalities are completely polar opposite of each other that it makes for a very unique and unusual dynamic within their group, but that's what makes them so special. When the group was originally put together they were supposed to only be together for a few months, so SM didn't really create the group with a specific concept or style, so the members are very diverse. And I think that is one of the reasons why SuJu's sound and style is much more organic and fluid because it's constantly changing and evolving like how SM originally had planned for the group. In the beginning SM planned for the members to leave Super Junior '05 and become members of different groups, etc., but because of the love of E.L.F. they ended up staying together as a permanent group. So the way the group was formed and the members were chosen is a little differently then most Kpop groups. The group was originally created to be a "project group" which meant that SM originally put the group together with members who had all different talents within the entertainment industry, as well as singing and dancing. When the group was created in 2005 they were considered the super rookies of the company so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.) The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when their company decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group. However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans.

the song was a cover, twins was added to the title to mark the change in the lyrics from the original song. Knockout is a song from a british pop group triple 8. it came out April 21 2003. SM bought the rights to the song.

My own favourite MV is the Drama Version of the title track Mamacita (there is also a normal MV version)! They DID debut in 05, which is insane to think because they've been battling military enlistments and members leaving for ten years, and when fans fought against this just being a rotational group, SM dropped the 05 and added Kyuhyun, thus making the group a permanent group in the meantime. Personally, my favorite song and video of Suju is "Devil", the performance version, but the music video is good too. It's just the performance version feels so fresh and classy. That's what I love most about Suju, is that no matter how much they change their style or music, there's just a classiness about them. I can't wait until you get to Devil if you continue with the reactions. I don't mind if you jump around, but there are a few videos that I think would have a bigger impact if you see them in a certain order, such as "This is Love" and then "Evanesce."
