Heechul was the one who screamed Super Junior at the end, it was so intense that he legit coughed up blood cuz of the strain it did to his vocal cords. the early days of SUJU were HEECHUL's cuz he wanted to b in a rock band rather than a boy group, the whole aesthetic of that rocker vibe really fit Heechul. It took TVXQ to convince him to stay in SUJU and the REST is History, Heechul is literally an ICON in his own right as well as the group. Hope you check out Heechul's duo work with Trax's Jungmo called M&D(Midnight & Dawn)

As you may know, Henry was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He debuted with SuJu-M in 2008, so he has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, etc. for more than 14 years now. He is 32 years old now and he is the youngest member of Super Junior -- he debuted when he was 18 years old. And, not only is he a musician, but, he is also known as a really good dancer. He is one of the first and only musicians to combine choreography while playing the violin. In high school he was the leader of the dance club and the orchestra, which is where he got the idea to combine his two passions. Henry's main dance style is popping and locking. EXO's Lay credits Henry with teaching him popping when he was a trainee. Last year he was even part of the Chinese dance competition show Street Dance of China season 4 where he competed with and against some of the best dancers from around the world as a team captain alongside Lay from EXO and Hangeng who was a former member of Super Junior and the leader of SJ-M.) As a skilled music producer, Henry even created a lot of the music his team used for their dance routines on SDC4. Fun fact: Henry was the music producer and a dancer on the recent Korean reality show called Fly To The Dance, where famous Kpop choreographers and dancers spent a couple of weeks in the U.S. busking with dance performances in New York and L.A. If you want to see another aspect of Henry's production genius, check out some of the episodes of Fly To The Dance. Henry has wrote, composed and produced all his own solo work, as well as numerous songs for other artists and Korean- and Chinese-drama and movie OSTs. He is the one who taught Lay from EXO how to compose and produce music. Lay credits Henry with helping him become a solo artist. One of Henry's most recent songs is "Radio" from his album Journey, which came out in 2020. He has a Korean version, Mandarin version and an English version of "Radio." But what you really need to see, if you haven't already, is a live performance of "Radio." Not only is he a musician, but he is a true performer, so all his live performances are designed to engage and entertain the audiences, and he never performs a song the same way twice. To hear the song in Mandarin, check out this performance from a Chinese award show, kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZPHc6uGd9KLga8; or to hear Henry's one-man-band solo version live on a Korean music program check out, kzbin.info/www/bejne/faXSZYauqrOlrbs; or to see a 4 cello and rock guitar version check out, kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYrPan6BgtZ6kMU; or for an acoustic version check out, kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5yai2uVl9yhqs0. "Monster," which is one of my favorite songs from 2018, was his last solo song release under SM. He has an English version of "Monster" MV, a Chinese "Monster" MV and a Korean audio only version of "Monster." Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian -- his dad is from Hong Kong, his mom is from Taiwan, and he was born and raised in Canada. He speaks 4 languages fluently -- English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese -- and he speaks numerous other languages moderately well. He works really hard to speak to fans in their native language so he has learned a lot of languages over the past 14+ years. Now, before someone says "Henry is not a part of Super Junior any more," I want to point out that it has never officially been said that Henry has left Super Junior. Yes, he left SM in 2018 when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company called Monster Entertainment Group, but that doesn't necessarily mean he left the group. Some true fans are holding out hope that this means he still may collaborate with SJ on projects in the future. (He is still living and working in Korea and he is still in contact with all the SJ members, etc. Plus, Super Junior has their own music label so they are more free to collaborate and work with whomever they want.) After all, the 3 members of Girls' Generation who left SM are currently promoting with SNSD as part of their 15th anniversary comeback and their song "Forever 1". Which is why when Girls' Generation made their previous comeback they did it as a sub-unit Oh!GG, because they weren't the full group. And even Taecyeon from 2PM left JYP Entertainment, but his new company has partnered with JYP to allow Taecyeon to continue activities with 2PM. After all, Henry is one of Lee SooMan's (SM's) favorite people. (Even though SM may have never allowed Henry to reach his full potential under them, which is part of the reason why he left the company. But I don't think there was any bad blood between them when he left, and he has always been one of SM's most prized artists for the amount of talent he has.) Now as an independant solo artist, Henry has launched his own KZbin Channel and he has become one of the most popular Kpop artists on KZbin. You should check out the weekly KZbin show that Henry produces called Henry Together, kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4bGp56EhM2fpZo, where he invites child prodigy musicians and dancers on his show to showcase their talent and to mentor them. On his show he spotlights amazing young artists while creating really cool collaboration performances on the spot with these children. He is a big inspiration to many people and lots of artists and musicians look up to him. Henry is also one of the top variety show guests in Korea and China. Everyone wants him on their program because they know he will bring them a lot of ratings. He spends most of his career traveling back and forth from Korea and China on almost a weekly bases because he is involved in so many different projects. And he even broke into the U.S. entertainment industry in 2019 when he starred as one of the main characters in the Hollywood movie "A Dog's Journey" alongside famous American actors, such as Dennis Quaid. If you want to see what type of musical and entertainment genius he is you should watch an episode of a show called "The Snowball Project," which was a special project/ variety show that Henry did with Mark from NCT and featured Red Velvet and Sunny from Girls' Generation, in collaboration with SM Entertainment and Mystic Entertainment, kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHLccndoh5Z0psU. On this episodes of the show Henry was challenged to play multiple instruments from around the world which he had never seen or played before. And, as you will see, within minutes Henry was able to pick up the instrument, figure out how to play the notes and play a song on the spot. He can also play any song or tune on almost any instrument after hearing only a few notes. You should also check out some of his live performances from the Korean TV show, Begin Again, which featured singer/songwriter Kpop artists who teamed up to form a group and they spent several weeks busking all over Europe. In Begin Again, not only does the group sing the songs live, but several of the members are also musicians so they perform the music live as well. In Begin Again you will see Suhyun from the Kpop duo AKMU perform with Henry and several other famous Kpop solo musicians and singers as part of a group called The Family Band. This group was so popular that The Family Band actually did 2 seasons of the show. And the best part is they busked on the streets all across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary, etc., so the people they performed for don't speak Korean, but they always fall in love with The Family Band's performances. And Suhyun and Henry also participated in a third season in 2020 when they traveled around Korea to perform with some of their Family Band members, as well as other well known Kpop musicians and artist. This show showcases real life busking performances with some of the best musicians and singers in the Kpop industry. Check out his performances of "Believer," "Faded," "Youngblood," "Dance Monkey + Attention," etc. You can find all the clips on the BeginAgain KZbin Channel: kzbin.info/door/8WoHUeN-eLynnLKGkwajYQsearch?query=Henry. But I could go on for days about Henry and I could recommend hundreds of clips and programs that he has been on that would impress you even more. And on top of all that, he is also a trained chef and can cook as well as a professional. He starred in a Taiwanese movie where he played a culinary prodigy, and the producer wanted him to look as authentic as possible, so Henry spent 3 months training under a famous chef and learned a lot of amazing cooking techniques. He has participated in numerous cooking competitions and cooking based variety shows and his skill has impressed even professional cooks. Henry's fans are called Strings because of his classical music background and his KZbin channel followers are Henemies (sp.?). As you can see by the way I gush, Henry is my ultimate bias, and Super Junior is one of my bias groups, so sorry if I come off kind of strong with my passion and love. LOL

Fun fact: You only see Kyuhyun once in a closeup in the "Don't Don" MV and he only has one solo line in the song, because this was the first MV he participated in after Super Junior's car accident where he literally almost died, and he was still recovering. About 6 months before "Don't Don" came out, Leeteuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun were all going home together late at night -- driven by their manager -- after their weekly radio show Super Junior Kiss the Radio, when their van blew a tire and the vehicle flipped. Shindong and Eunhyuk had minor injuries and Leeteuk had a large cut on his head that required several stitches and was briefly knocked unconscious. Kyuhyun's injuries, however, were life-threatening. He was thrown from the van and he broke several ribs which punctured his lung He was in a coma for about 3 days and doctors weren't sure he would live. In order to save his life, doctors wanted to perform surgery on his throat, which would have ended his singing career. But luckily his father stepped in and advocated for him, demanding that the doctors come up with a different way to save his life that didn't destroy his dream of being a singer. (Kyuhyun had only just debuted a little less than a year before the accident) In what Kyuhyun describes as a miracle, there just so happened to be an expert doctor at the hospital that was willing to try an experimental procedure where they ended up operating on him through an incision on his side instead. However, Kyuhyun now has a large scar on his side from the surgery, so this is one of the reasons why you will never see him with his shirt off or showing off his body, like the rest of the members. He says his scar reminds everyone of what he went through and he doesn't want people to feel sorry for him or sad, so he keeps it covered. I think Kyuhyun was in the hospital for about 3 months as he recovered. To really understand what Super Junior went through during this time, you need to watch this clip of them on the Korean Variety show "Strong Heart" where Kyuhyun tells the story of their accident and everything they went through in his own words, kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKStqpKLq9l6aNE.

"Don't Don" was released in 2007 (Super Junior debuted in 2005) and it is the first and last time we see all 14 members of Super junior together in one MV (Super Junior's 15th member Zhoumi, had not debuted with the group yet.) It's one of the last few MVs where we see Kibum and the very first MV where we see Henry introduced as the "mysterious violin player." I also, recommend checking out one of their live performances of "Don't Don" which features Henry and Zhoumi in the song. My fav performances of "Don't Don" live were the ones from Super Show 3 that had Henry on electric violin, Zhoumi as the rock vocal, Jongmo from Trax on electric guitar and Heechul on the drums, kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZ3Mqn6Cg8yJhbc. Henry and Zhoumi aren't usually allowed to perform with the full group of Super Junior, because they are only Super Junior-M members, so it's really special when we get a chance to see all the members performing together. Another great performance they did is at an SMTown Concert and it features Changmin(Max) from TVXQ and Jay and Jongmo from Trax performing with SJ (with Heechul on the drums again). Changmin's vocals in this song are unbelievable -- he will make you speechless. Here is the performance with Changmin and members of SM's Idol band Trax: kzbin.info/www/bejne/an21YpV6pbqWj8U. But I really hope you watch at least the one with Zhoumi and Henry so you can see SuJu all together. The only sad thing is, you only see Zhoumi and Henry for like a minute in the live performance of "Don't Don" and then they are tucked away backstage again after their brief appearance in this song. Henry and Zhoumi are only considered part of SMTown's collaboration for this song not actually part of SJ even though that concert performance was in 2011 and Zhoumi and Henry were a part of SJ-M for about 3 years at that point. It's kind of sad to see how much those two really want to be on stage performing with the rest of the members, but in the early days they spent most of the time during SuJu concerts backstage waiting for the 10 minutes where they were allowed to come out and perform 2 or 3 solo songs and then have to go back stage again to wait for the 2 or 3 exclusive SJ-M songs they performed. They're two of the most talented members of SJ and yet they are never given the chance to shine on stage the way they should, and unless you are a true ELF, most people don't even know they exist. In 2008, when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi (two Chinese members) to Super Junior's group and the creation of Super Junior-M -- which was designed to create music in Mandarin for the Chinese music industry -- Korean fans protested. Some fans were against adding any new members to Super Junior (which already had 13 members). So the Korean fans forced SM to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior. So, when not doing activities with Super Junior-M, Henry and Zhoumi also became some of SM's first members of an active group to go solo. As you can see, Henry is a music genius and he can really play that violin while dancing like that. He was classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 6 and he had plans to go to college to study classical music. But the year he graduated high school he auditioned for SM Entertainment, when they held auditions in Canada and he impressed them so much with his violin dance routine that they signed him right away. (After joining SM and debuting with SJM he did end up going to college. He got a full-ride scholarship to Berklee School of Music in New York and he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music.) To see Henry's violin dance better check out his solo performance around this same time on a Chinese variety show, kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYrbZ4Ggec6AjLc, (it's a fancam so it shouldn't give you any problems to react to it.) This performance was shortly after Super junior-M's debut and it was part of their first round of Chinese promotions. So it has a lot of the same elements as his "Don't Don" part. And it's actually the routine he auditioned for SM with. So you will see why SM fell in love with him and It will give you a chance to see his skills up close. PLEASE check it out. :D

"Twin's (Knock Out)" was Super Junior's debut song and it came out in 2005. This was when SuJu was only a 12 member group. I don't think Kyuhyun was even a member of the company yet. When SuJu debuted the oldest members, Leeteuk and Heechul were about 22 and the youngest Ryeowook and Kibum were about 18. The very first person you see in the opening of this MV is Hangeng, who is Super Junior's first Chinese member and the very first non-Korean Kpop star. However, as you saw, the first person who sings in the MV and song is Siwon. (Yes, he will be the one you see first the most. The members joke that he is usually the first one you see in most of their MVs because as the visual of the group, they want to show him at his best before he starts to sweat. LOL) If you look up the English translation of the lyrics you will see why they used fire in this MV. The images of fire go along with what the song is talking about. SuJu is the group that really launched Kpop into mainstream popularity globally, but that wasn't until about 2009 with their song "Sorry Sorry." The MV for "Twins (Knock Out)" and choreography was actually groundbreaking and ahead of its time way back in 2005. Remember what western MVs looked like in the '90s and early 2000s, especially boy band videos? They were very similar to this. Back then, the Kpop industry was so much different: they didn't have budgets, they had even more strict beauty standards and basically the industry itself was still struggling to make a name for itself globally. You may notice that they only showcased the main visuals in most of these early videos, but that was the industry's standard practice back then. Plus, the internet, digital media, and search engine platforms were not what they are today. If you watch some of their more recent interviews, members often share stories about how they struggled and competed to have more screen time, and everyday they worried that it would be their last in the group and that they would be cut. Super Junior originally were a 13 member group + 2 Super Junior-M members, so in these older videos you will see 12/13 members. Because Super Junior has so many members, it's difficult to give equal screen time to each of the members when the group is so large. (If they gave everyone equal screen time the song would end up being 7-13 minutes long and that's too long for most listeners attention spans, LOL.) Plus, each member has their own unique role within the group, so sometimes that means certain members have a larger part then others. Also, one thing you should keep in mind with these early SuJu songs, is that Super Junior wasn't originally supposed to be a permanent group, and the group was made up of members who were being trained in all aspects of the entertainment industry. So, SM's original goal for the group was to allow the members to gain more experience in the industry while they learned to be TV hosts, actors, models, comedians, etc. That's why in their first few songs some of the members roles are smaller. SM wasn't necessarily expecting them to continue as a member of this group in particular. The plan was to have the members graduate to other groups and other careers within the entertainment industry after a few months. It was SuJu's fans that saw the potential in the group as a whole and put a stop to SM's plan. "Twins (Knock Out)" is actually one of SuJu's least popular songs, and many people even forget it exists unless they are dedicated E.L.Fs.

"U" is Kyuhyun's debut, he was only 17 when he became a member of Super Junior. "U" was released about 6 months after "Twins" in 2006. Fun fact: Kyuhyun is such a talented singer that he only was a trainee for about 3 months before becoming a member of Super Junior and he was made a main vocalist from the very beginning -- even as teenagers they were amazing vocalists. Yep, all 13 members are here. Some just have larger parts in the song than others. But I guarantee that they are all there. :D It wasn't until the addition of Kyuhyun and their release of "U" that they got their first win on a music program, and at that point they were at the tipping point -- pretty much one win or loss away from SM deciding whether to break up the group, because the group wasn't seeing the success that SM wanted them to in order to make it worth keeping them together. The members have said that up until "U" they always worried whether today would be their last day as a group and if SM would decide to split them up into new projects or it could be the end of their careers, etc. I'm not sure if you noticed this, but the girl they are singing to is Yoona from Girls' Generation, Super Junior's little sister group, and Girls' Generation debuted in 2007. So, "U" came out before Yoona had even debuted. You should check out Super Junior-M's version of "U" next. "U" (Mandarin version), was SuJu-M's debut song. They also have an MV. Super Junior-M debuted in 2008. You will get to see Henry and Zhoumi, Super Junior's Chinese members, and see even more of Henry's violin playing as well.

The one screaming SUPER JUNIOOOOOR was Heechul :D Before SJ he almost debuted in a rock band. And he debuted as an actor before SJ. So there was a lot of hate about him putting acting before SJ fans wanted him out of the group. He made a mistake once in 'U' where he sang off tune after that he became less confident in his singing.Nowadays it is much better thanks to Knowing Brothers and Min Kyung Hoon especially. He has a few songs of his own he is close friends with TRAX Jungmo theye were a duo called M&D . OMG yes! This was great! I love the old suju songs - I don't think that people tend to associate them with this style of music anymore, but they have done ALL the genres of kpop! They have EDM, Spanish influence, funk/jazz, Operatic, Rock, Cute... heck they've even done Trot. Perhaps because they were originally meant to be a rotational group, they weren't necessarily created with a specific music/image concept in mind, but this has allowed them to try so many different styles - it must be really fun for them to be able to do that :) And they change their songs for concerts (eg. Bonamana often has a 'rock' sound live - and Donghae is a very good screamer!). I cna definitely see a lot of early EXO in the early SUJU songs like Don't Don and Twins (Knock Out) - does anyone know if Exo has covered any of these? I think that 'Marry U' might be their most 90's boyband song, and I love it!

2:20 7:18 He's a Chinese member named Han Geng. He left in 2009 because of the pressure of the company to choose to leave. If you like, you can learn more about Han Geng. I like it when 13 people are together.

Back then, they have this "trend" that Siwon needs to start every song. Because that's when he is the most handsome especially on live. They always joke around about it, and also that as the song goes on, they will sweat on stage, so they need to show the handsome Siwon at his best..🤭🤭

Thank you for your reaction to these 3 MV!!! Twins and Don’t Don are the greatest!!! U is a classic!!!!! I love rocky a bit more heavy sound of SuJu - Bonamana concert version (rock version) I prefer more then edm. Also Sorry Sorry concert version with a bit of rock shouting Is better in my opinion…. Love also Perfection (by SJ M) darker sounds and the final build up is just fabulous!!! Opera Concept is so theatrical - also gorgeous choreo!!! (Both versions korean and japanse I jam to) But the bests are ballads - B sides!!! Well, SuJu has so much music to react to…. Live vocals are superior for me from studio versions so I tend to like more performances from Super Shows!!!

Heechul said he really hated the idea of having pictures where he is seen with his eyes closed that's why he kept trying not to blink at the camera on Twins

You should react to HOT TIMES from SM The Ballad!!! It was from the first rendition of SM The Ballad, it has Kyuhyun, Jonghyun, Jay from TRAX, and Jinho (before he became a part of Pentagon he was an SM trainee!). Such an amazing song, some of the best vocals you’ll ever get in a K-Pop song!!!

SJ rose to popularity in South Korea for "U" as their first single to top the charts and win various awards in 2006. Their song Sorry, Sorry is the one that shot them to worldwide fame in 2009 and opened the doors for Kpop. Thus their title Kings of Hallyu Wave 💙

I know watching their first songs is like a whole different experience 😅🤗🥺 and they haven't changed a lot, pretty much the only thing that changed is their hair 😅😅 And some info I know is that U is THE song that made it big for them, they became known and famous because of that song and they also won a lot of awards thanks to it... and the rest is history!!... Loved your reaction by the way, ha a lot of fun watching, can't wait for more in this SuJu series. BTW you should try to watch some of the live performances they did of Don't don, they were so good!! Pd: fun fact, people didn't know who Henry was and had no idea that SM wanted to include him to the group, since SM had still the idea at that time of changing the members and having some to "graduate" and have new members like every year, so Henry was known as the "violin guy" hahaha but things changed and then SM included him on the subunit Super Junior M!!

Heechul: «When we were recording the song 'Don't Don', I was given the latter portion where I had to shout out 'Super Junior'. I was praised for doing it well by the song composer after finishing my part for the time. I was full of vigour after that and every time when it was time for us to perform this song, I would scream really hard for my part. But after a few performances, blood started appearing. I would cough out blood after every 'Don't Don' performance.» 1:21 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYSqepKoaqiJmac

Oh my god, I've never seen this videos before. I know the song but never seen it ☺️ it's really good. On "Twins Knocked Out" and "U". For the first 2 MV's I've never seen Shindong focus on Camera haha 😁🤭 he's a really good dancer I admit it. But on the 2nd music video "U" the Girl on the MV is Yoona, from there sister group GG or Girls Generation, she was so young on that video ☺️ and pretty. On then 3rd MV "Don't Don" that was the first MV of SuJu that I've seen way back then ☺️😎👌 and it's really cool. Thanks for this reaction video, its nostalgic and classic specially when I see those hear style haha ☺️
