At first I was very hesitant to the idea of someone coming on board in the videos. I was skeptical that it would ruin the flow of things and how sort of "raw" Evan's videos are, but after seeing Drew come on, and see how smart and how he is able to do pretty much everything. Another great exhaust for the GTI is taking out the resonator and keeping the stock muffler! With the upgraded downpipe. A lot less drone than taking out the muffler

If I know my VAG stuff right, Rufus makes decent exhaust systems for VW-Group (VAG, for people who don't know) vehilces.

I've heard good sounding stock systems with just an aftermarket downpipe on. Or just swap the muffler out, since it's not a car with the op-filter they should still be decently loud with a different muffler.

As a mk6 GTI owner, i must honestly say. This reminds me so much of my Rev9 exhaust.. Not tryna be bias but Rev9 has probably the best sounding exhaust for the price, hands down. Never the less, for a custom exhaust?? This still sounds super fuckin clean.

Okay sounding, but to much tractor for me! What i did to my custom turbo back GTI Clubsport MK7 was bought Brittish Non Res Cobra Sport Catback. Then later bought the Californian Invidia Highflow downpipe with race/sport cat. That combo is the best iv ever heard if you like a bassey sound that still dosent drone much. The only one that may be better or on same level sound quality wise in my op, is a guy using CTS Turbo dp (no cat) with IPE catback (guessing non res). Those two are the best souding exhaust i ever heard for the GTI/R. And if you must have a system from same brand, get HG Motorsports EGO-X from Germany. Also crazy good sounding but just downpipe cost more than my full custom turbo back system! Check how the GTI Clubsport sounds on the driving video on my channel! 👍
