Fix the clutch and post another video of this car IMMEDIATELY! Nobody expected this car to be such a wild animal. The bad clutch ruined what would have been EPIC. Cheers to the man who built it. I bet he has shocked(probably electrocuted) the hell out of many bmws, mustangs, audis, porsches.....etc.

Yeah, I'd love to see a comparation to the EU specs colt czt/ralliart. Shout out from the other felllow colt owner! Mine raliart is about 185hp, it doesn't want to keep boost at the top, but it's still a blast for a fun daily, sadly the interior is sooo plastic and cheap, this car deserved better. I started doing more miles, so sadly in the near future I'll be selling it.

My brother once used to own a Mazda 323 GT-R in the 90's. he had the same sort of problem with the turbo (IHI RHF-6B), was almost a truck size turbo. too big. nothing would happen in low and mid rpm, and suddenly it was a 4wd rocket in high rpm. Also similar issues with the clutch slipping. and some overboost issues.

Had a stock CZT (same engine) 1.5 with small turbo. With the low weight and a chipped 180Hp the thing is a pocket rocket.

Love seeing sleepers pass high-end sports cars! For this setup, though, if the owners keep the same turbo, like Micha said, it might be too big for the engine. Extending the gearing ratio would help give the turbo more time to spool up and get better output overall. 🔥

For a moment there when I was looking at gauges camera footage when it was falling over, the few last seconds of the footage was actually kinda fun and informative to see how G forces affect the movment of camera while braking or turning. I might be a good idea to have a cam that acts like that so audience would get a better feeling of what is goin on. Thanks for the great content btw.

That 1.5 litre turbo engine was also used in the old Hyundai S-coupe and is good for about 190-200 out of the box. But as you can see, it is capable of much more. Sadly, we only found out about this engine after most turbo s-coupes rotted away and got scrapped.

No hyundai ever used this engine... the engine in the S coupe isnt even 16v dohc.. this is a 4G15T DOHC MIVEC engine.. the engine in the hyundai S Coupe is 100% hyundai..

I find it cool that theres a lot of colt fans here in Singapore and usually they're all modded. Now i know why. I mean whats not to love them? The way it looks and everything seems to be too perfect for a track car and racing because of it's rounded and curvy kit. Not to mention how small and compact it is. Wouldn't mess with them when i see one of these on the road with a wing and a big shiny muffler.

My colt czt at 208hp is the only car I've ever owned that can easily top out at redline in top gear. Bonkers cars. Should try a low weight 3door czt with a hybrid turbo rather than the td05, which is HUUUUGE on these.

I've done a few Turbo mods in the past before, the turbo in the Evo 9 isn't too bad. Maybe you'd benefit from changing the near housing and modding the internals ie Bigger inducer with more fins etc. Look fun!

Wicked little car! Mad that it doesn't come on boost properly until about 5.5/6k RPM though, guess efforts to keep it on boost through the bends is what killed the clutch. Smaller turbo will be a ton more driveable! Have to say always kinda fancied a Colt CZT or Ralliart, underrated little motors for sure (and a bit of a bargain)
