So No-Net students cannot get into PhD admissions? Actually this is wrong, earlier universities used to conduct PhD entrances and there NET students were exempted from writing the entrances, but still some institution conducted exams for all and gave additional score to NET qualifier, same applies here, UGC has unified an order making the same that NET students do not need to write entrances instead they can directly attend the interview. This doesn’t make Non-NET students ineligible for PhD.

Yes it is possible in AICTE approved institutions like IITs, IISERs and NITs
