Just like what TTY said a few months back. The shots and tricks that she used is now being studied by her opponents and she cant rely on them much anymore. She said she needs to up her game even more as there are many talented players coming out.

TTY should learn new tricks. The former world number one is playing like a novice.Buck up or slide down the ladder to mediacore players. her coach must overhaul her game. Fanciful strokes do not score winners. Good for show only.

The strategy here was pretty clear. Michelle was playing the low centre of gravity game better and TY looked a bit tired. Didn't see much attacking from TY which worked against her and drained stamina further. Speed and stamina was the main factor. Pretty well done.

TTY need to consult a sports psychologist if not already. This loss and Akane's win in the QF means she is no longer #1 and might be a good thing just as Lin Dan was usually in the shadows of LCW as #1. I just hope TTY establish her urgency to score early in each game and not go walkabout as she is prone to. Then we can continue to be entertained by her style of play. Amen.
@AgentJ2007
@AgentJ2007 5 жыл бұрын
Agree with your take on TTY. However, LD was a bad example to use. LD was never in the shadows of LCW. LCW is world No.1 but everyone knew LD was the better player. He had LCW’s number.
@innerpeace6014
@innerpeace6014 5 жыл бұрын
TTY has been world #1 for I don't know how many weeks. It doesn't really matter anymore. The only thing I care to see is her playing at her best. When she does, the results follow. Being #1 isn't everything. I am sure LCW would've gladly traded that #1 spot for ONE gold medal at the olympics where he lost twice to LD and once to CL (even though he defeated LD in the semi-finals). LCW might have been #1 but he lost to LD 90% of the time WHEN IT REALLY MATTERED.

TTY's game has deteriorated tremendously.. Her slow play enabled her opponent to attack her and score points.The former world number should learn to play fast.She needs to overhaul her game if she wants to retain her title.her opponent LI played fast and used the right tactics to score points at the crucial moments.Congrats to Li who has improved immensely.Unless TTY buck up, she would be unable to win titles.Can't her coach spot her weakness and rectify her mistakes of inconsistencies.One good shot followed by a bad shot. Many of the younger players are now playing fast to capture points whereas, the lethargic TTY is stuck to her sluggish game and toying around to show off her stroke play.
