Voguing is about throwing Shade. They were just going through the motions.

AL W They probably have too much decorum to be shady.

well, it used to be about throwing shade. now they are just dancing. Don't tell me everytime you see someone vogueing you think they're trying to throw shade..

The core fundamental of voguing is BATTLE!!! These new voguers only learn how to do tricks without essence. They don't understand what made voguing FIERCE! It's about competition. When voguers don't like each other and instead of fighting they take it to the dance floor and throw shade in the most fierce art form to each other. Whoever gets more attention from crowds, they win that battle. That's what true voguing is about. That's why real voguing created from the circle of a dance floor and when you watch the real voguing battles, you can feel the story behind the battle. It used to be RAW and authentic. Voguing is not like ballet, modern dance or rhythmic gymnastics to perform the only front of judges and get a score. The voguers should be perfecting their millimeter-precise movements and throwing the most exquisite shade. This DJ throwing down some fierce bitch house track to exaggerate the competition, but all they are doing is smiling and being friendly like any other dance classes. It's not UNDERGROUND anymore!!!

Sylbian the whole point of a vogue battle is because you have beef and wanna fight but take it out on the dance floor

I totally understand what y'all are saying, but then does that mean that you shouldn't practice or anything, because of course I can take it to the floor and serve and get my 10s, but there are also times when it's me alone, practicing, or me and my sister's practicing, just trying to get better.

Vogue dancing was invented by black and Latino lgbt community, and it's crazy to see the room full of white people, how things have changed. still was dope tho

Alejandro Herrera You’re speaking big facts, but you also need to consider the fact that this was filmed in a predominantly white country (as you can probably tell by the largely Slavic comment section lol). But it’s really crazy how global it’s become.
