Big Water Of Fleet - High Water

Galloway Rivers leading the way on an excellent afternoon out a few weeks ago on one of the local rivers!

Me and are a few friends are going up to Scotland on Wednesday to kayak this river in inflatable kayaks. We have been doing it for a few years on gentle rivers locally but we go up to big water of fleet viaduct to camp twice a year and this time we were planning on kayaking to the sea, but based on this I don’t think we will make it. Is this usual water or after a heavy rain/storm surge? The river by big water of fleet viaduct seems very calm and shallow but we haven’t inspected the river further down. Thanks
