First time I heard this song was about three months after I split with my wife and moved out of the family home. Woke up to the chorus. I don't think a song has ever hit me so hard. The words "bleed out your heart if it's still beating for someone else" went right through me. I was in a rented room in a strange house. I will NEVER forget sitting on that bed that morning. Probably because it's the closest to coming apart at the seams I've ever been. What a way to wake up. It still after 10 years stirs up emotion. I loved Ian's voice LONG before that morning, but to hear him sing those words, like that, was just too much for me that morning. I did make it lol. Still here! My heart beats for my children now. Pretty safe bet I'll never be bleeding out again! ✌

I tried to turn a friend of mine onto BW and he said "sounds like a poor man's Chris Cornell". Kind of pissed me off a bit. I don't think Ian's trying to 'sound' like anyone.. that's his voice. Shame on him for sounding like CC I guess. I agree he does sound a lot like him, but it's annoying when I try to turn someone on to the band... that's their comment. Ugh. Oh well, he don't know what he's missing. Ian's also one of the best slide guitar players I've ever heard too. Right up there with Derek Trucks or Warren Haynes easily.

One of the great things about being a Canadian music fan is that you hear these bands all the time and then they come right to your town to play. Thanks CRTC! I've seen Big Wreck multiple times, most recently in Truro, Nova Scotia but also in Saint John (bring back Area 506!) and in Charlottetown. They are gems; true rock stars. Lucky to have them! Agreed. Only thing missing is a ripping IT solo! LOL!! It's amazing how many of my favorite BW songs DON'T have a solo.. and I'm a guitar nerd who (believe me when I say this) LOVES the guitar solos in a song... and Ian's solos are some of the best I've ever heard. SOoo.... 100% agree, but just wish he had shoe-horned a solo in there somehow. Then again, that's why he's the master... he knows what ingredients to add and when not to.

I love this video. It looks like clips from a practice/jam session. Everybody’s getting along, laughing about mistakes, talking about maybe doing something a little different, being amazed about something unexpected but brilliant that one of them came up with “out of nowhere”. It’s like the audio is the finished product, and the video is the “process”.

Thanks! My friend and I made this video. He's a cinematographer and I'm a director/shooter/editor. And we spent 4 days shooting multiple videos with the band at this beautiful church that was converted into a recording studio. Think we shot this on day 3. One thing I noticed about BW was they really enjoy the experience of playing music and all of their other videos were so serious, So it was really important for me to show that somehow and this incredible song felt like the perfect fit

There's not a song by any other artist that makes me want to hit replay like this particular one. Two, three, five, ten times, in a row; Does not matter, I'm always tempted to hit play one more time. Ian's voice + guitar playing is simply a gift to behold. Amazing players one and all, but Ian's unique spice is what makes the sauce so special. Luv, luv, Love it! Cheers to all Ian and BW fans!

Ian Thornley went to School to learn how to compose music as well as classical guitar. Both his bands Big Wreck & Thornley are just amazing, I’m sure if Ian Thornley was American both bands would have a much bigger audience & radio play. There are quite a few great Canadian bands that couldn’t crack into the American audience or radio play such as THE TRAGICALLY HIP,54-40,LIMB LIFTER,OUR LADY PEACE,WIDE MOUTH MASON,ANVIL,THE TEA PARTY,AGE OF ELECTRIC,13 ENGINES,ETC.

This is a very unique person and group. This has nothing to do with Cornell. Please explore that.

I swear this song and band deserve more then what any underrated band gets. Big Wreck and Wolves gives me goosebumps every bloody time. Real music and music fans are missing out on pure gold. I will throw Led Zeppelin,Pink Floyd,Soundgarden and any great band under the bus to see Big Wreck get the credentials they so surely deserve purely based on talent and evolution. Now rock is in the hands of Foo Fighters and The Black Keys and Nickelback a sad sad world for real players and pure evolution.

Life happens as the wells gradually run dry. Finding places where I never thought I’d hide. Reminds me of my appreciation, why I started and ended up here. ❤️
