I’ve been watching your channel for a while. I just picked up plushies about a year ago but have been crocheting for decades. I’m old enough to be your mom and I’ve been a high school teacher for 28 years. so I see you as one of “my kids”. You are talented, real; and enjoyable to watch and follow. You are smart and have your whole life ahead of you. Crochet is your passion, but other things will take your time for many years to come: work, family, friends, etc. good for you for setting boundaries and I’m here to see you grow through this amazing time in your life! Your subscribers love you and will support you whichever path you choose to take!!!

Glad you’re recovering - had mine out at age 25 (ROUGH, for sure). My youngest child is 27 & I spent 1000000% of the time prioritizing everyone but myself. Now, as a grandmother, I’m realizing that what brings us joy is so important. Setting boundaries is SO HARD, in all aspects of life. This is SUCH a big time in your life; you’re on the brink of TONS of life experiences & you deserve to experience it ALL, fully. Whatever your path, we are cheering for you and supporting you COMPLETELY. Proud of you for taking care of YOU. You do not owe us any explanations, imo. Sending you support, hugs, love from Ohio ☺️🫶🏻🧶 xx ~ Lisa

I feel like I was in a very similar position. I left school and wanted to crochet full time, and eventually got super burnt out, to the point where I got rid of 95% of my yarn, and deleted all social media pages for a while. I can now guarantee you 100% you will enjoy crocheting so much more now, making what you want, when you want! It has sort of gone back to being a hobby/ form of relaxation for me, which I am sure it will for you too. There is so much time for you to figure out what you want to do. Just try and be present, and live in the moment! Say "Yes" to any opportunity you get! Best of luck with your further studies, and any interview you go for! I will definitely continue to watch your videos as I am market prepping for one off events!

I have been watching you for a while. You are such an inspiration to those wanting to do the videos and crocheting even for us that are 50 plus years old. I have a full time job outside of my small crochet buisness. I completely understand. Main thing is you take care of yourself.

You are the first crocheter I started watching. You will always be my “OG”.😅 I will always watch. Because I started watching you last year, I started crocheting plushies for the first time. (Hadn’t crocheted in about 40 years). But watching you made me excited to do it again, and I haven’t stopped since. I thank you for that! Keep taking care of yourself, and the rest will follow.

Can totally understand that where you are coming from. At one point I was both a full-time college student and worked full-time. Yes very little time for social life and taking care of myself. Katie you will find your balance.

Ah, don't be so hard on yourself! You should be sooooo very proud of yourself!! Some people spend their entire lives not accomplishing what you have done already. Life's a journey and you are so young and who knows what the future holds. Follow your heart, explore your options and in time whatever is meant to be will be. I'll continue to follow whatever that looks like. Be well and take care of you!

We will be supporting you throughout your life journey, not just katiebeingcreative! Go get your degrees, find a job that you like, and find that passion for crocheting again without that pressure. ❤❤❤ GO KATIE!!!

Sometimes it's hard to accept when you have worked so hard for something you love. You can still do your side hustle it will all work out in the end. Jobs may feel daunting but you will find your feet . Enjoy the process as sometimes changes can reset you and help you more than you realise

For me what l did was starting to teach crochet and doing workshops.I think markets and KZbin videos can put so much pressure on you because of having a deadline when you have a market. I hope you find what makes you happy that’s the most important thing 💖💖💖

Yes please do a comparison. I have not seen that in my Dollar Trees but will be looking!! It's good you realized what works for you and if full time of crocheting doesn't, then great to realize that. I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Crying is healing. Glad surgery went well.

Hi Katie, you need to take care of yourself and enjoy what's ahead for you. I've been watching your videos and a few other 'tubers and it always concerns me when I see videos about "how much can I crochet" because I know the strain on your hands is inevitable. Many crocheters are getting braces for the strain. I think taking abreak will do you good. All the best to you!
