@@therunningmatesband I am as serious as a heart attack. Have you tried maybe talking to them about something like that. You draw the the same type of fans as they do. You both are "perfect pitch", have absolute insight into the harmonies, and appeal to the general public regardless of age or musical style preference. You are also both masters of picking out the perfect covers for your voices and vocal styles. I imagine you touring together as individual groups on the same bill and then doing part of the show together. I swear you'd bring the house down.

I was hoping you did the new addition, where they add ooh-pa-pa-pa. Or was that in the original ? As always, this is perfect pitch and I envy the guitar playing. I was adopted at 12 and my new bedroom had my new dad's D-28 hand-made Martin (about a 1964 model?) I messed with it and found the chords on my own , only I didn't know what they were. At six months I was rocking, and I thought maybe I was some kind of a natural. Nope. I sound just like I did in 1972. But for now, playing guitar is better than playing a harp. Great Video !!

If so, any tip how to avoid phasing issues and doubling on the other mics? Your sound is just so clear, when I tried something similar I had issues with parallel recording. Hey thanks for the kind words! The mic bleed and some phasing is just something we've learned to live with. There's no way around it with all these condensers! I do try to avoid over-compressing everything though to manage it all a little better. Hope that helps! - Spencer

Personal (probably unpopular) opinion - I've always really liked this song but I got tired of the original recording of it because of the the falsetto followed by low register singing followed by the weird laughter at the end of it. So this is one of the rare situations where I like the cover version of a song better than the original. Thanks for doing this one.
