During the troubles, you would have this situation where one part of the city would be engulfed in bad bad situation, but other parts of the city would be totally normal. So people would call up their loved ones ask them where they are in the city and if they are in the safer parts, tell them to "abhi udhar hi raho, yehan nahin aana." This is unique to Karachi as no other city is even close to being as massive as Karachi or had so many troubles in just the last 3 decades.
