I think people forget that Bigbang debuted SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO in 2006! Most groups don't even last half that long and yet they've continued to release music as a group up until last year. The group was pretty much dust in the wake of Seungri's criminal activities, it was always going to leave a shadow over the group and they've been doing solo activities for so long anyway. I also understand his annoyance/abruptness because there was no formal announcement of disbandment, even though they basically are now, and YG has treated them like shit sometimes, especially in the wake of scandals and Seungri's actions, so I imagine his annoyance is at the company and not his band members.

I started to become a vip when they were on military, it’s around 2019. TOP has been implying a lot that he’s been so sick of doing local shows, he was scrutinized before. I think it’s one of the factor Crossing Bigbang is kinda sad but understandable, may prefer to look forward. It kinda happened to other idols as well, like disassociating themselves with the former group or member (stray kids) I’ll be supporting all the 4, regardless of their path. It is sad but it is what it is. If that will make them feel better, I’ll cheer them on.

As a long time fan and BB being my ultimate favorite group, I think a lot of us were caught off guard that he officially left when previously, when Still Life was teased and released, it was told he left YG only and would do limited activities with BB. That he would pursue his personal endeavors, so it was more of a shock to find out this way. In all honesty, TOP had voiced before he no longer wanted to be a part of the idol life due to the negative affects it had on him. I think a lot of us fans knew Still Life was a goodbye, but we also had hope that maybe we would get something again after waiting about 5/6 years patiently. To let them know we never forgot them. However, if this path is the new chapter for them, I will never hold it against them. We all change as we get older and things are never what you expect them to be. I am glad that each one are still active in their own way. As I am sad that my beloved group ended this way, I will still support them all individually. ❤

BIGBANG is such an all time icon. Nobody can replicate what they have. They are in their own league. Their discography is filled with only title tracks, NO filler songs at all!! They have so many iconic songs. During their era, eventhough they intended to not reach across the world according to GD(very different to BP), they really reach to a lot of us. I have went to 2 of their concerts on my own ground. Alive Tour and MADE Tour. Their tours are made to create fans. Those who went there will immediately become their fans afterward. They are amazing individuals. Their artistic directions are top notch. Each of them have their own artistic direction. I can go on and on about this. But those who have lived during their era are the luckiest kpop fans in the world because they are out of this world. I miss them so much.

I think the reason behind us not being angry about all of these is that like the group we stan the majority of VIP's are somehow old fans. Many of us are in our mid or late 20s i suppose. There's a screenshot circulating yesterday that says Bigbang is nowhere to be found on YG's list of artists anymore and people had been speculating that GD left YG too, but I just went to their website now and Bigbang is still there. I started with Kpop in 2009, stanned 2NE1 and Bigbang then. It's sad, but I'm sure these men will still stick together as friends and we still might get reunions later. I don't think much about TOP crossing out Bigbang's name, that's most likely just him saying that he's no longer in Bigbang now officially since he didn't re-sign a contract with YG; not because he's shading Bigbang or tryna talk smack about the group itself. For now, I'm tuned to see how their solo careers will go from here.

If you are really a fan, you'll know that he had left already. He already explained in an interview after he left YG Ent(if I'm not wrong is the Prestige magazine). As for him going to the moon, there's interviews of him saying he wanted to go to the space years ago and he literally go for it, he found himself a way to achieve his dream. His wine business were announced back in 2016 before he enlisted into military, he had also already fulfilled his promise to share 1st batch of his wine with his fans. There's no such thing as officially 3 members group. If you know Bigbang and are a fan of them, you'll also know that no official announcement from the member themselves that means it's all speculations.

Big Bang was huge, but after their military enlistment and that whole scandal with Seungri, their name was negatively thrown back into the limelight. I mean, YG also kind of treated him like trash, basically calling him too fat to be an idol when he auditioned and all that stuff. 2023 marks 17 years with Big Bang, I’m sure after all of that time, I would want a chance to move onto something new and open a new chapter in my life, I mean TOP didn’t get a lot of solo activities or unit activities, it kinda was obvious that YG only cared for G Dragon and Taeyang, which originally were supposed to be a duo before the other three members were added, and practically after they enlisted, Seungri became a favorite, so it really looked at the time that Daesung and TOP were kind of the background people to Big Bang. Bigbang lost its relevance and popularity over the time. The scandals and members leaving yg were enough a reason not to mention how people got swept away by other groups. The gp listens to some of their songs but wouldn't actively stan them like back in days. And solo activities of members became more popular anyways. Especially taeyang. So i think almost everyone saw it coming and it's better ig to distance himself with bb name considering it got tarnished over the time.

Not to mention that Taeyang is a husband and father now. Juggling the responsibilities of being an idol and being a parent is no easy feat. But yes, BigBang has sadly fizzled out. All things must come to an end, and BigBang are no exception. The group debuted almost 2 decades ago so they've had their run.

being just a few years old when bigbang debuted and finding them in 2012 when i was 8, i can tell it’s honestly just how he is. i act the same way if i’m being honest, plus it’s understandable how he puts an X over bigbang, dudes been through a lot while being in the group. i do hope he future endeavors go well though, going to space is such a cool thing.

I guess he has bittersweet feelings with being connected with that group name. But in my heart of hearts as a fan since i was a teenager back in 2008, he will always be BigBang's TOP to me. But of course will absolutely respect that he no longer wishes to associate with the group moving forward. ❤
