I think you should watch their live performance, Bigbag did everything by them self. From making the song, mv, even their stage, it's their idea. Bigbang really one of a kind. I've been with them since debut. While every group had the same outfit for each member, they did differently. In my opinion bigbag really have big influence for kpop. Light stick, member own produce song, unique outfit they did it first. They really pave the way.

What you will find with all Big Bang songs is that they have a story. The Lyrics and MV tell the story so if you get a chance to chekc out their Lyrics, you need too. Bigbang Blue MV is similar to this. You'll like that one. And We Like To Part is a blast. Lol. Many kpop groups, including BTS were inspired by Bigbang. They are definitely OG's. I highly recommend you check out G-Dragon's solo work too. It's lit.

If you want to checkout their old work you need to start with Lies, Last Farewell and Haru Haru. These 3 songs came out in 2007 to 2008 and became the biggerst Kpop songs during this period. This is because they were all written by G dragon and they also performed and produced their own MV etc... Before Big Bang, Kpop groups had their company's write and produce their songs and also do any MV. Big Bang broke the mold and the local public loved them. Also Haru Haru was considered the No1 Kpop song is 10 years as at 2018 and Lies their first hit song became Song of the Year in 2007 - the first tine ever a Kpop group got this acolade from the Korean Entertainment Industry. If you get a chance to see any Unhelpful guides to Big Bang and their are plenty of them then have a look and do a reaction. Some are alot better than others so ask the fans which is the best to watch. Lastly the guy with the great voice is Taeyang and he is known as the RnB King of Kpop. You should check out his Solo song Wedding Dress and others around the 2008 - 2010 period. All members of Big Bang have Solo Careers also and G Dragon is the only Kpop Solioist to ever win Artist of the Year at MAMA, one of the biggest Awards shows in Asia.

BIGBANG is really tied to old school hiphop, so you can definitely sense that to their most songs. But like Thomas said, they are really diverse. I've been a fan of many groups from 2nd generation up to the 4th, and their albums for me are one of the few that are just no-skip. Their live performances are totally a must watch, I suggest watching their legendary MAMA performances and other yearend award shows. BIGBANG mostly performed as a closing performance... because ;)

The MVs are really good but live performances are far far away from whatever group in KPop and worldwide. I'm not kidding. They combine the big budget stages of kpop groups with a more freely presence on stage not tied to a choreo like all kpop groups do. And their energy/swag is outstanding!
