BIGBANG are giants of k-pop and respected even in the k-hiphop scene (which tends to dislike idol groups). this was (so far) their last comeback as a full group and, as many fans felt, it seemed like a goodbye. but then again, BIGBANG is full of surprises, they usually suddenly come out from the darkness to drop a hit without any prior warning. they did it in 2015 with the MADE series, and again with Still Life in 2022. so some fans (myself included) like to think that they might just up and do that again sometime in the future, so we consider this song not so much a goodbye as much as a "see you later". Still Life reminisces on their young years and flourishing 17 years of successful career, at the same time as it looks forward to the future, theirs as a group and also as individuals. the song's name in korean is "Spring Summer Winter Fall" (as said by the lyrics). it can represent the passage of the years (their career), or a season for each member, maybe? who knows, maybe both. G-Dragon is an incredible lyricist and likes to put hidden meanings, messages and wordplay in his writing (he truly writes like a poet). glad you checked this out, it's a beautiful song, i'd recommend you see more of them if you liked it.
