I also love wool. Here's a list of places to find quality affordable Wool gear. Big Bill's obviously for Pants I prefer the Woodsman Bibs myself same fabric as your 210 pants. Fred Asbell for wool jackets/pullovers, Vests etc, Swanndri shirt jac, Aran or LL bean for wool sweaters and pants socks, Lobben Boots or Valenki boots both are Wool

I have a pair of these and it's all I wear winter camping up in Canada. They are great.

How do you keep them clean?
@mikemorton0 Жыл бұрын
@@75egcg hang them up in the garage to air out. Otherwise in a tub with some wool specific soap and then air dry.

@@mikemorton0 skip the dry cleaners? I was hesitant to buy anything wool bc of the dry cleaners
@mikemorton0 Жыл бұрын
@@75egcg what are you using then for ? I use them for camping and xc skiing and outdoors stuff. So I basically just hang them in the garage to air out. Wool is naturally anti microbial and you will be wearing a basesyer underneath. I have never dry cleaned mine and don't see why I would.

@@mikemorton0 basically just work. When winter hits I’ll be outside. Not really trusting through snow or doing real hard labor. It’ll be my first pair of wool trousers so I wanted to treat them right

Do you recommend Lanolizing your garments from time to time?

That’s a really nice jacket man, where could I get one like that?
@wildforwool38213 жыл бұрын
It’s a Bod and Christensen sheepskin. I’ve had it for quite a few years now. I actually got this one second hand for a killer deal. I’m not exactly sure what stores carry this brand, there is quite a few of them for sale on eBay though and lots of other brands as well. I highly recommend a sheepskin if you live in a colder climate, I absolutely love mine for the winter months.

what jacket are you wearing?
@wildforwool38213 жыл бұрын
It is a Bod & Christiansen sheepskin coat, for the most part any good quality shearling coat is very warm and useful.

Have you tired the ww2 wool trousers/pants ?
@wildforwool38213 жыл бұрын
I believe I have a pair actually. Maybe I’ll show them on a video. They do have some synthetic barrier in a few parts of them that have a use but I don’t like synthetics personally
