@@suraya1224 Just to clarify I wasn't complaining about Robin at all. ;) I thought he came across as a very good and very decent human, but I guess his stand-up comedy style was a bit over-the-top in a lot of what I've seen, but there are probably clips of him doing stand up that I would like. It was maybe a little too energetic for me. Still when he was relaxed and contemplative, he seems to just have a beautiful soul. Except for the highly-animated style he had in stand-up, he kind of is what I pictured Jesus may be like, with those eyes that are so deep. Sorry, I ramble and just can't explain it.

@@borderlinespastic_3455 It's pretty obvious that you have never even taken the time to learn who the real Robin was. It's not like he hid his true self all those years from Happy days, up to a couple of years before his death. About the only thing, you got correct about him.. Was that his name was Robin Williams! Take a few minutes and educate yourself on the reason he killed himself. BTW, most comedians get off on making people laugh, and the harder they can make you laugh, the more they enjoy themselves.. just as some people get off on hearing themselves talk, it doesn't matter if it's facts or bullshit they're spewing (usually the latter) as long as they are talking!

This is not merely Pure Entertainment Gold, this is a time capsule: 1992 was a Presidential Election Year, and if there is any name mentioned here that you don't recognize, Kids, Google it ("Quayle," "Perot")... and understand the roots of how we got to where we are today. Carson's Penultimate "Tonight" show... Williams was 14 years past his ascendance to national prominence with "Mork and Mindy;" he was 22 years away from his own, self-imposed demise. Carson shows, yet again, what set him apart (and still does) from every other contender in the late-night arena: His ability to get out of the way (brilliant though he is, in his own right), and let his guest shine... Occasionally, the guest needs help, and Carson gives it: Williams, from his first appearance (October, 1981) to his last (this one, May, 1992) never needed Carson's help, and Carson recognized it (to his credit) and simply gave himself over to Williams, which is why he is laughing, here, harder than anyone in the audience. Put aside the baggage of the "next-to-last-show:" If you didn't know this, as you watched it, you would simply see what geniuses these two are. With the possible exception of appearances in the past by Jonathan Winters, Carson has never laughed harder than he does here; more tellingly, Carson does something at two different moments which absolutely slays Williams. This is like watching two mutually-admiring (comedy) Samurai compare moves before the elder of the two lays down his sword for the last time. God Bless them both (and Ed McMahon).

To all the haters - please find something else to do besides disrespect someone that gave himself to the world and was an extremely generous person. He was in pain. Have some compassion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the disrespect is simply unacceptable. RIP Robin. We miss you. :-)

hope your child or other loved one doesn't succumb!!! Throw the first stone!! Oops! You already did!!! Many, many thousands have thought it'd never happen in THEIR family! Raised right, etc, etc,...blah, blah, compassion???? Do you know what that means??? Just askin'....Christian ignorance...I'm sure JC loves all the HATE y'all send even on KZbin...you shouldn't even be sneakily watching this....convert someone who cares .....you Judas Iscariot..he forgot to ask forgiveness....so he'll meet you in your Hell..oh wait, you're living it every day.....

Audrey Layne Robin Williams was more entertaining rambling to a different subject every 5 words. You're not.

Yes he clearly had a problem but you cannot but love this amazing person that he was. All this energy was used for love and nothing else. Johnny would have done every show with him if he could you can see that the second they are together.

To Daisy Sanders. I personally thought he was more obnoxious than funny. He always seemed to be trying too hard. On a different note, how people comment is up to them who are you to tell people what to and what not to say? Go sit down in the back seat and have Hoke drive you to the Piggly Wiggly.

(from Bolivia) but these 2 will always live on KZbin. Amen

Robin's bit about the Rodney King looters (1:39) was very funny AND timely, in light of the Ferguson situation. Hard to believe this was 22 yrs ago. Robin and Johnny, you are both missed.

You've got to hand it to Robin Williams. All you had to do is wind him up and let him go. He could be funny just reading the phone book!

I can’t help but think as I enjoy this that it is sad you only ever see a character with Robin Williams interviews. What a talent!

Despite what we all think we know-Mr. Williams will always be loved for who he was. He made our day with his satire and we enjoyed life that much more. Careful with doubt-He made us happy. Glad he graced us with his presence. God Bless him!

I remember this show - AND those political references. But what really makes this one stand out is how Carson got Williams on the Jerry Brown riff *he never exhaled*. Marvelous share. A keeper. Thanks.

Great part at 2:35 "Oh God!" "Oh fabulous, this is great!" Wonder if we can get store credit if you already have it?" Sounds just like my arrogant neighbours lol. Such a great talent Robin was.
