Cordae proves age doesn’t define how wise and smart you are.
@drew94535 жыл бұрын
On everything... it's all experience and having a sense of awareness of everything that you consume, and consumes you. He's extremely conscious of who he is, not only to himself, but within his surroundings. That shit goes a lot further than what he puts out in his art. It reflects in who he is as a human being. That shit is refreshing.

He doesn't need Dreamville. I'm sick of people saying he should sign to Dreamville or TDE. Those are independent labels which are used to help get an artist a major label deal, which Cordae already has btw, so why the fuck would he sign to another indie label. He's signed to his own groups indie label YBN already as well.

@busymikeI get what you saying and agree for the most part. But I wouldn't call that shit generic necessarily. Every single artist is influenced by the people that come before them. But "generic/pseudo-conscious rap" takes away from just how rare artists like them actually are. They don't just make music to make music, or say shit to say it. They move with intent and purpose, in and outside of their music, in a way that's bigger than what their gifts bring to them. It's really not too many artists who are willing to express their vulnerabilities just as much as they celebrate their successes.
@nonoyes86135 жыл бұрын
busymike there’s cole influence bc it was produced by Cole you dingus of course he has influence when he produced the album
@drew94535 жыл бұрын
@@nonoyes8613 Cole only actually produced "RNP", and that was really just a beat Cordae got off him. He talked about recording the vocals at a Beats1 Radio studio with Anderson Paak, so Cole really didn't have a whole lot of direct influence on any of the album. Some of the harmonizing Cordae did was definitely reminiscent of Cole, but people aren't really giving Cordae the credit he deserves on the overall project. Most of the other songs were produced by Kid Culture, illuid.haller, CoopTheTruth, and a few others. But the entire album was executive produced by Cordae himself. He had a hand in production on every single song. Not necessarily the musicianship of the songs, but the arrangement and sequencing for the most part, and pieces where he told the producer to add a certain instrument on a part, or if he wanted to change a particular drum or snare on a song. But Cole didn't actually do much on this album besides make a beat. Lol and you just called him a dingus... now say sorry hahaha

@CurbStompa5 жыл бұрын
I'm never gonna understand this YBN shit people beg for. Why do people want him to abandon his friends just because he's musically skilled? That's so selfish and lame. Leaving YBN isn't gonna benefit him in any way, it's only gonna make people like you feel like "he's not associated with sub-par rappers" He's not apart of a boy band, he's a part of a group that makes their own music seperately, but stick together through the YBN tag. If YBN Cordae blows up worldwide, YBN ______ blows up worldwide, again, him taking YBN off his name doesn't benefit anybody, not even himself
