The most versatile rapper since Eminem, the most consistent rapper since kanye, the most conceptual rapper since Andre 3000, 5 universally acclaimed projects back to back, out rapped Eminem, rapped alongside raps best lyricists and held his own, called out every big rapper in the game and is still standing. Adding in his live performances, TPAB breaking Grammy history and being archived in Harvard, etc. while also being the only rapper to outsell drake. anyone who thinks he ISNT a goat is indenial

Does anybody think that how much a dollar cost and blood are linked, because in how much a dollar cost the homeless man who kendrick refused help turned out to be god and in blood the blind woman who kendrick chose to help turned out to represent the wickidness of the devil. I also feel the wickidness or weakness theme is involved there also because how much a dollar cost kendricks weakness is his selfish choice to not lend a helping hand but in blood his weakness is his will to help the blind lady. The lady appeared to be weak but really she was wicked and the homeless man appeared to be weak when really Kendrick was wicked. Both tracks tell opposite stories because how much a dollar cost the meaning is god will punish those who refuse to help and love other's but in blood we see that if you help others you can still be punished because of their wicked ways.

AkU GOMS One thing that Kendrick helped me with is asking myself what truly loving myself means, in the "Real"track he said: "but what love got to do with it when you don't love yourself?" I found that healing honestly, I still ask myself what does truly loving myself means, does it mean self destructing? The luxury? The money? The fame? Does wishing for that will make me love myself? On Apple Music the DAMN album shows kendrick is standing in front of a red wall, on Spotify he is standing in front of a blue wall. In DAMN , the first track BLOOD talks about him taking a walk and getting killed by a blind woman. After that track, then starts kendricks afterlife with god, we see in the rest of the album that his life splits into two possibilities, going down the blue path(which is baptism and being saved) or going down the red path(which is lust and sin). all in all in the album kendrick chooses the blue path, as seen in the music video, "God is a Gangsta" in To Pimp A Butterfly, you can see at the end of the video he is getting baptized. Which leads by kendrick walking down the street, where he meets a blind woman. Which leads right into the album DAMN. So To Pimp A butterfly leads right Into DAMN.

this man has done everything he needs to qualify as GOAT. people don't realize yet how great DAMN. actually is. the fact that this man made a very conceptual and conscious album into mainstream quality and radio hits to me is amazing. 14 tracks of just pouring his heart and emotions out and people don't even realize how deep it actually is cause he deliberately made this album to show off that he can run the game any way need be. GOAT. King Kung Fu Kenny

He was looking depressed cause of the content of that album. Listen to mortal man, that song is sad but true cause it's a battle we fight everyday. Anyone makin that album would be depressed or mad at the world

This is by far one of my favorite interviews with Kendrick. I love the laughs from Big Boy and the realness. Especially the text from his mom. I cant get enough of Kendrick, hes just so real and spiritually in tune. Love this guy. I literally have my own Kendrick and Kdot concerts in my living room just listening to his music. Definitely a G.O.A.T in the rap game already.

You gotta have respect for an artist that actually thinks about album concepts and POV angles instead of just throwing together potential singles to make an album. There is a difference between an artist and a rapper

"This is why I say that hip-hop has done more damage to young African-Americans than racism in recent years" yet Kendrick has used his success to help his family and his city and make music about black power, having faith in God, and getting through depressing times
@wtbgamegenie7 жыл бұрын
That was one of the most ignorant racist fucking statements I've ever seen. Geraldo assumed because Kendrick is a black rapper that he's some "no good thug" when if he knew Kendrick's work and his life he'd know that Kendrick is the exact opposite. Geraldo thought that he could just say whatever he wanted because rapper=lowlife. The way that Kendrick handled that with such class. He just sampled Geraldo on one song and then offered a respectful brush off of his criticism on another track. He made Geraldo look like a fool and he wound up eating his words. All because Kendrick had something powerful to say that Fox didn't want to hear.

My brother, my brother, you is one humble young man. I'm old enough, to be your mother. I first saw you on the awards and the gift that our Creator, has giving you is amazing. That spirit inside of you, is just priceless. That song HUMBLE and DNA, had me stuck, to the television. I like you, for real, for real. I like the way, you carry yourself. It's a powerful message, in your music and I'm feeling it, for sure. My brother, stay as humble, as you are ok. Use your gift, to be a blessing, to others. Always give our Creator, a shout out, for giving you that gift. Continue to do, what you do. You is so, down to earth and peoples, love you. Blessings my brother. 🙏

Kendrick saved hip hop, he is the first rapper since Game that is not only great lyrically but also cares a lot to make a serious record in a deep record as well. Most of today’s rappers just look ridiculous and act silly and don’t take anything serious, Kendrick raise the bar for his entire generation and no one can reach that bar but him.
