Bro this game is a hard hitter for sure. Its an extremely believable near future. This is what happens when people actually work; they make amazing things. They understood the topics and human depravity as well as geo-politics in the plot pretty dang well. They understood almost everything from the darkest from all walks of life and applied it properly in this story. This is a good game.

@@SunbatOW sense I made that comment the more I believe that’s what’s happening here of all the engrams we know we’re turned into engrams when they were alive only dying after having there mind downloaded,Jackie’s engram is the only one to not speak and act alive everything he says and does is something he already has done and it’s not like the corp went through all of the cameras around night city to get this stuff and Jackie definitely wasn’t brain dancing his whole life. But he’s in there his consciousness is in the engram so the only way he could be like this is the fact that he died before his mind was downloaded, and even when your dead your brain will still fire neurons for a period of time that means when the corp got to him they downloaded the last remaining firing neurons in Jackie’s brain saving his consciousness but due to only saving a part of him he can’t communicate properly and can only use what those neurons held which is things he’s already said done. We all know the how some people who have been near death or dead for a short period of time see there lives flash before them, that’s what scientists think those last firing neurons are and that’s what the corps downloaded so that’s the only way he can communicate. I usually prefer to reset Del in most of my playthroughs, you get to watch him learn and grow again if you use del enough and for long enough. At one point his conscience seems to kick in and he starts asking questions about love .

Sure, some of the AI's are good or neutral and I should think of them too, but the bad outweighs the good. And the alternative, to combine them? Something tells me creating a new AI is not a good idea either. We already have rogue AI behind the black wall. Who is to say this one won't turn into one? Reset it is. Safest option.

Telling the truth to Jefferson Peralez at the end of "Dream On..." is a bit cursed too. You get a call from him in the epilogue where he tries to explain how he believes his wife is in on the conspiracy and is trying to poison him with vitamin supplements. He is all sweaty and bumbling because he doesn't know whats up or down and cant be sure if anything that ever happened in his life is real or true. Its so sad.

The only one of these I did was send Jackie's body to Vik's, because in my head I imagined the other scenario playing out as Mama Welles walking up to a cab that pulled up at her house and finding Jackie's dead bullet-ridden body in the back, and her just having a mental breakdown. It made much more sense to me to deliver the body to Vik's because he's a tough old bird and would understand what happened and take care of the body until it could be claimed in a more civil scenario, like if V told her himself and they went to get the body together. The worst part is that I felt justified in this decision when I learned that Arasaka raided Vik's for the body, becuase then I thought that if I sent the body to her, they would have just done the same thing to a grieving mother, but nope, instead you just get a very touching series of side-quests instead that help flesh out the secondary characters.....and I'm only now finding this out after 4 playthroughs....

She had a lot of gang bois in her bar at all times i guess so if arasaka was dumb enough to start shit it would escalate to war lvl quickly. So it would not be worth it to try it. Vic on the other hand is all alone.

Yeah, it’s such a reasonable choice to make, it feels like, but then the consequence is basically a dead-on-arrival “they stole the body.” When the other choice gives you a whole side quest where you get to deal with the emotions of everything with family. There’s no warning that this is the coldest, worst decision you could be making.

Like of course it makes sense that Arasaka wouldn't try and retrieve a body in the middle of a gangland. But both the player and V wouldn't really think about that because of the pain of losing Jackie.

Last night I tried the Hanako ending for the first time, I hadn't seen any spoilers on it. Man, I needed to take a shower afterwards, such a moral letdown in every way and as a Corpo is even worse because of the ass kissing dialogs it opens up. The change of helm at Arasaka (no spoilers) is also disturbing and odd. God I hated every second of it.

Takemura basically confirms that Silverhand’s memories are altered with his Soulkiller talk. The discrepancies between CDPR’s version of events and the original story are easily explained with Silverhand’s engram being taken from his corpse and then altered by Arasaka

@@ohauss Imagine you got a program that can snatch basically ANYONE. Turn them into an engram, you can store them in Mikoshi basically forever. Now, thanks to V, you're also nearly there figuring out how to put those engrams back in bodies WITHOUT it failing more or less spectacularly. Furthermore, clone technology IS a thing in 2077. Maybe not advanced enough, yet, but it sure will be in the future, to create an entire human being (iirc, in the tabletop, Biotechnica or some other corpo already had got to that point back in the early 2000s but those clones were so riddled with cancers they only lived a very short, very painful life.). So you got a way to capture youre enemies' souls, basically. You got a way to clone your enemies' bodies. If you now only found a way to alter your enemies' souls/engrams in a way so they're not your enemies anymore. Change their memories. Sure, it can be done but can it be done in a way that the engram/soul doesn't even notice it's been altered? What do you do to figure out how to achieve this? Right. You take some of those "junk" engrams you're keeping just in case and use them to practice. Like, for example, the engram of a certain Johnny Silverhand (because, let's face it, though Arasaka was a big thing for him, he never was a big thing for Arasaka - more like an annoying fly to be swatted away). If you, for example, can make him remember his own death wrong, an event that surely ought to be inalterably engraved in his memory ... well, if you can do that, you can do anything. And there you are, suddenly Johnny remembers all kinds of things completely wrong.

The braindances for the farm were pretty cursed on their own. Maybe it was my playthrough, but i was seeing npcs that would be highlightable in shadows then disappear. Sometimes just in the distance. Maybe this was a bug, but man did it make this whole quest line that much more creepier.

It wasn't a bug! It happens to me too then I realized it was the kidnapper's mother. ( I think it was mentioned at some computer at the police station). Take into account that the BD wasn't recorded from real experience but from the kidnapper's dream. That kind of attention to detail makes me angry as to other parts of the game wasn't as polished as story or characters.

16:32 Something about Jackie's Engram is so hopeful. . . It's a little eerie the way he replays voice lines from Jackie in act1, but you can tell there's something there that's more than just. . . Dead neurons firing as they remember they should, data encapsulated from a lost soul. That last line, "See you at the Afterlife," was too apt a choice. Jackie gives us a dozen goodbyes throughout the game, but that's the one he gives you right before the heist, right at the happiest most excited he is in the whole time we see him, and likewise, there's something that's so absolutely true about it as well, he's not just saying that he'll "see us later," It feels very much to me like this last conversation meant something to Jackie too, like he really was saying to us, "I'll see you again on the other side soon Amigo, shame we ended up here, but here we are together; let me escort you there?"

I actually reset Delamain during my playthrough, due to it being the only interaction in which you get to talk with Delamain after the quest once you get a cab from him. If you reset, you’ll get to have a short chat between Delamain and V every time you summon your personal cab from the vehicle menu.

For number 9: Yes, the dolls may end up in some 'hot water' after if you don't side with Maiko. But I usually go the path of V confronting both the claws and Maiko at the same time. Which ends with V getting a peck on the cheek from Judy (only tested with FemV). But getting Judy pissed off, and not being able to extract her from NC with the Nomad ending, is even more of a 'cursed decision' than anything.

I don't consider Resetting Delamain as cursed. If you don't have high intelligence or tech (i forgot which) attribute, then you can't pick the best ending. You have a choice between killing Delamain or his 'kids' which he does not love. But I remembered that Delamain hired me and Delamain saved my life when I called for him when I was dying so for me, Delamain was more important than his broken 'kids'. The memory wipe was sad, yes (although he says he has the logs of all past events), but I still get to talk to him in his car, which I like.

Some games such as Fallout do have stats determine certain options. Like low int in New Vegas lets you "guess" a password because your character is stupid and thinks a Mr Handy it's talking to is an Icecream machine or something. So you just yell "ICECREAM" at it and you pass the check.

Depending on your build: beating the shit out of Fingers. If you punch him you won't be able to buy anything, which would be fine if he wasn't the only Ripper that carried the Pain Editor. It's a must for a melee heavy character build.

If you do the Rogue ending as Johnny you can have Johnny keep the body with V being completely on board with the right convo options. I consider Johnny keeping the body the second best ending. Johnny keeping the body is only bad/depressing if you intentionally pick all the depressing convo options.

My favorite cursed decision happens during the 2nd Sandra Dorsett mission. You'd think it would be cracking her data-drive and then trying to black-mail her, but it's so much better. We crack her data drive, then knock on the door and pretend to be her friend. We openly admit that we took a peak at her drive and go so far as to congratulate her for sticking it to Nightcorp. Right as V pays her that compliment, you upload Blackwall Gateway into her system and watch as she screams in agony while her eyes burn out of her skull.

I think the best ending in the game is the go it alone ending, & then voluntarily giving Johnny the body. It both protects all your friends, & shows a lot of personal growth in both the V & Johnny characters.

I always send Jackie to Vik's shop because I like the thought of Arasaka taking his body so maybe we'll see him again in a later in cyberpunk 2. His ofrenda makes it feel like he gone gone.

I can understand how u think that. However when v talks to Jackie through Hanako you can tell that that isn't Jackie it's like Jackie is there but he can only try to talk with the small fragmented pieces of his mind hence why he just gives u lines from act 1. And at the very end when he says see u in the afterlife that doesn't feel like him talking about the afterlife club but instead the genuine afterlife. Like he knows v is gonna die soon.

My first playthrough, I sent Jackie to Vik. When I entered Mikoshi during the assault, theres the brief moment you get with Jackies engram. I was excited to say goodbye to him... and then was immediately heartbroken to find him stuck in a loop of like three sentences. It felt like losing a friend again. No real goodbye, no closure. Just tearing open a scabbed over wound. Second playthrough, I did the funeral. It was sad, but felt like closure. A proper goodbye. Good stuff man

Honestly, with the river Questline, im upset that when you decide between the two farms, there is no option to split up and go to one farm each. If River wasnt such a bad solo we could have covered more ground and guaranteed success

So I played at the release and I sent Jackie to Mama Welles. Went to his funeral, talked to Misty and the rest. Then I definitely got this opportunity to speak to Jackie from Mikoshi. So I wonder if that's some type of bug then... because you do say that you need to send him to Vic for this to happen.

Technically giving your body to Jhonny is the best outcome, the body doesn't die, V technically is also kind of still there and there is no soul being sold to Arasaka. I still go with the Nomad ending though, since I almost always play a nomad and I like Judy and Panam.

in the Sacrum Profanum mission where you go rescue the monk kidnapped by maelstrom, if you just ignore the mission after you get it the monk brothers will appear at jig jig street after awhile, and the one that gave you the mission will tell you they removed his brothers tongue and jaw, so if he is ever to speak again he will need implants

3:27 I did all things in the BD and my character automatically said poppy farms when taking the bd off. No choice between two, not even a bottom prompt to say it, just him automatically saying poppy farms locking the quest outcome. River tells me that his nephew has been dead for days, so how does me taking an extra ten minutes make a difference?

I chose to reset Delamain, mostly because I didn't have the Stats. I personally would still choose to reset him, because having those other Delamain-Personalities running around would be pretty catastrophic. The Merge Option also sounds good, but, like I said, I didn't have the option.

7:30 I was reloading save files to get ending achievements and actually told V I'd let him keep his body, when I walked to the well instead he pushed me to the ground, then broke down crying and let me do it, made the ending cutscene unbearably sickening

0:18 I’m level 60, all quests completed that show up, driven around every corner that exists and there are still loads of quests where people say so and so will contact you later in the game and that straight up never happens. I bloody wish, the game needs more quests, and some bloody fail safe that keeps players from simply not getting these ‘they will call you’ jobs because it seems common to simply never get the calls even in 2.11

For the River quest, if you don't have a high enough Intelligence so you can't hack the laptop then a good way around this is to have already been to Edgewood farm. V will say something about having been there already.

@yhng_drilla8439 I know, right! There are so many alternative ways of doing things. I did have a chart of the optimal abilities to have to open up certain paths in quests. For instance, you needed 12 in intelligence to merge Delamain's core together or a certain reflex points to open certain dialogue options. But the 2.0 patch messed all that up. There are still hidden items locked behind attribute gates that have remained the same, but you now need 20 intelligence to merge Dels cores. They need to work on balancing it all back out because somethings just don't make sense.
