Looks a cracking little rifle Dan for a silly little amount of money 👍🇬🇧
@BunnyR136 ай бұрын
I have no affiliation with Big Dan's Airguns and did not purchase my rifles from said... I have a collection of 4 VMX full length (my oldest one - 5yr - actually has the much vaunted 'Powerlock' spring... it's square section wire and recoil is best described as 'jaw numbing'), a QS in .22 / all in synthetic, ... and a Cub in .177 / beeche for teaching the younguns to shoot and with a butt extention makes a Cracking adult plinker. The triggers are Single Stage (Quattro Trigger is available iirc) and adjustment screw has no free thread to shorten the stage, solved removing the M3x10 and inserting an M3x15mm :) My rifles shine with Remington Tyrant domes and Punch flats, 5p size groups of 5 @ 40yrd in nice conditions... opens or scoped! Synthetic or Beeche, these are a Genuinely great budget rifle and worth every penny.
@bigdansairguns835 ай бұрын
Spot on Bunny! (shhh here's your big bag of sponsorship money). They're a great little gun, I was explaining to our supplier's sales rep the other day that the VMX needs a longer adjustment screw and it makes the trigger so much more useable. If they could give it a slightly crisper pull you'd have a stonking little gun. As you've said they're so accurate.

Why buy a Webley that is just the name but definitely not made in Birmingham. Surely it would be better to buy a genuine classic second hand, there must be dozens out there
@bigdansairguns838 ай бұрын
Hi David. I'd argue because it's a good little gun outright and of course new with warranty. The rifle is mainly aimed at newcomers or those wanting a working springer and some may not want to take a classic Webley out hunting nor potentially have one as a first rifle. The rifle may not be made in Birmingham however elements of the rifle are made similarly to the Birmingham Webleys, the safety is Webley's design as is the Powr-Lok system.

Really liking the look of this one i might be tempted to get one ..... The toy i mean 😂😂 No thats a sweet looking webley last weblley I owned was an eclipse back just after they came out. The old webley guns used to have some character back them the omega,vulcan and the later on the longbow would love a Birmingham built longbow.

Hi Dan, nice review of a good looking gun, was the metal finished as good as the stock? What surprises me, is that Webley and many other manufacturers haven't designed a trigger unit similar to the Rekord and install it on all models. It takes just one good design to solve one of the problems with budget guns being unable to deliver the accuracy. Novice shooters would benefit the most and not lose interest when they can't hit anything. Greetings from Germany

I have the polymer stock version, I paid £170 for mine, it came with scope, gun bag and pellets. Mine is unsilenced though. For all the hate Webley get, just remember that bsa are just Spanish guns made in Birmingham. Admittedly the trigger isn't great, but you get used to it. Mine runs at a constant 11.8 ft lbs and it would be better accuracy wise once you clean the crap out of the barrel from the factory 👍🏻 It's worthy to note, it's guns like this, that get newbies into the sport, if all guns were £1000 + youngsters would not get into it. ( they'd rather have a ps5) ............... in real terms it's cheaper than my meteor I got in 87, and that had no bag, pellets or scope..........
@bigdansairguns838 ай бұрын
Brilliantly said, this is why I mainly review the budget gear too as there criminally undersupported in my opinion. Webley gets slagged because it's made in Turkey but these days that's far from a problem. Some cracking rifles come from Turkey and they have a long history of firearms development. Where a rifle is made from doesn't determine how good it'll be, Germany has made some right stinkers in the past as have we.

Hi Nick! That's for the compliment it really means a lot. That's what I'm thinking Nick, it'd be peanuts to sort and it'd make the rifles so much better. I love the Remington Sabre etc but I think the Webley is genuinely a better gun.

Certainly take more skill and time to shoot consistently, but the rifle sure is good when you learn how to get accuracy out of it! Not sure if it’s the same trigger block as mine, but there is a tweak using an RC car bearing in the trigger mechanism, it takes all that creep out of it and safety still functions and passes the drop test 😊

Hi Nobby. Tricky one as they're all nice rifles, for me it'd be the Cometa. It has a better trigger than both of the others and the Cometa barrel is pretty much second to none. Plus you should get a lifetime warranty with the Cometa if you know where to look *wink wink* 😉😂 The only thing I'd advise caution on with the Cometa is to make sure it has a metal spring guide, a few years back they had plastic guide which tended to snap making the rifle nasty to shoot. I always inspect mine and fit the guides if necessary.

That said here in the states I can finally get my hands on some guns from Pyramid Air I couldn’t before because of the rebranding/renaming. The Umarex Notos is a full stop winner! The Zelos/M60T is gonna be another. Still nice to see some break barrels I haven’t had the privilege of seeing before thanks to you.
