I have to give you a WELL DONE on this and your preceding videos. I like your progression and explanations on the repairs. I started with Mr. Carlson's Lab and 12VOLTVIDS and now advanced with your likeable videos. The music backtrack is mellow and your workbench is well maintained and organized. It says PRIDE in your work.

Power supply issues or something simple like a fuse? Picked up a relatively new 19 inch Sanyo for about 20 bucks online and it was just a 79 cent fuse!

I usually change the mosfet driver ic since when mosfet goes short it puts full supply back into the gate driver👍
@bigdog8882 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, usually if the smd resistors at the mosfet's Gate are burned, then its definitely time to change the IC. Hopefully we'll be good for a while on this one.😜

Excellent video thanks for making and sharing your knowledge. I'm trying to work out why our Samsung TV has no power, I've checked the PSU board and there is no physical signs of damage (burns/buldged caps) I checked the main fuse on the PSU and its good, when I disconnect the main board with power on the backlight does NOT illuminate, what does this mean? Also I checked the PSU to mainboard connection and the pinout says A13V so I was assuming 13V but im only getting 3V on all those pins labeled A13V. If you have any wisdom I would love to have your input. Thank you and blessings.

Thanks. their is a series of checks on primary side and secondary. If you watch the last video I did on the Sony PS board. That may help.

Good job, but seems like a lots of extra work. Maybe an expensive power board? Keep those bad power supplies laying around to harvest those fuses.

Hello, I came across your videos while trying to troubleshoot a BN44-00611A, U gotta tell you I learned a lot from your videos. Unfortunately, I cant find any troubleshooting guides for this model anywhere. The model itself is rare. It looks a lot different than most of these boards you have. Do you have any suggestions? It has sound but not picture. It was initially an LED strip that was shorted so I fixed that, but still not working. THank you.

U sound like you like learning. If your sure its not the led's still, then I suggest the troubleshooting course. Just go to my Channel Page to get the link.

My school bought 17 70" Samsung TVs one summer, they are now 2 years old and out of warranty. I did TV repair in the early 80s and as a hobby ever since. The 4 all have the boot cycle issue. I have narrowed it down. If I disconnect the jumper on the LCD panel going to the right side or the left side, the backlights stay on. At that point, I figured the middle section (T-Con) was the problem. The one IC I could replace is a PIC chip. The Datasheet shows it as non-volatile storage. Okay, I'm done. The IC might need to be re-flashed, or the screen is bad. But then it came on for no reason! Looked like it was okay responded to the remote. Unplugged it, waited a few seconds, and plugged it back in. No good. Back to the boot loop. If the chip lost its programming or the screen was bad, it wouldn't fix itself. AI's not there yet. Any advice on this would be really appreciated. I have 13 more in classrooms from the same batch.

Does anything come on the screen or is it a blank display when it cycles?
@mikem8270 Жыл бұрын
Blank. All LEDs turn on and change brightness (as seen through the holes in the back plate). The red LED blinks twice, then turns off and back on with a chime sound like normal. I have 4 of them, all exactly the same. I guess there are no more Sams Photofacys anymore.

I have a Samsung un50ku6300f which I have replaced all LED backlight strips, power and main board. It still wont boot up. The backlights flash brightly for about 3 sec then flash dimly for about 2 seconds and then go off. the cycle repeats after about 20 seconds. If I remove the cable from power to main board, backlights come on and stay on. Leads me to think problem is not power board of anything to do with backlights. This has me really stumped!

that looks like such a dangerous way to check a board. Leave it inside the tv if you want to power it up and keep it under load so not to risk blowing up the outputs. Just a matter of time before you forget it is powered on and grab it to turn it over. Best to have someone there to turn the power off when that happens.

When I worked in a tv repair shop we had a isolation transformer with a red power light. I'd plug the device I was repairing into the transformer. The red light reminded me when it was powered on.

Always get into the habit of picking up the board by the edges..don't touch any components on the underside.
