Awesome video and love your attitude! I came here just looking for ways to be sure that the powersupply in a S95C was the culprit and left with an increased love for electronics. Thank you very much!

I jumped pin 14 and pin 15 so power supply board can turn on. I do not have any 13v on the power supply board does this mean the power supply board is bad ?

I had replaced the LED strip they were bad. but after replacing them, I still get the 1 long flash and 1 short flash. once I plug power in.. i found the Standby voltage its 5v pin 12 BUS5 , I have a question I tested the LED strips there is 4 pairs backlight wires and each pair measured about 92v . the one LED strips I put in only measured 89.9V does this make a difference for it to blink 1 long and 1 short flash right away ? like as soon as I plug the tv to outlet the flashing lights flashes. I am trying to make some jumper cables to see if the power supply starts up. I dont really want to cut the wires lol.. any idea how I can make a nice jumper wire plug ?

I don't buy TVs anymore, I used to, don't usually see freebies and they go fast. If I lived in a bigger city and had a large supply it would be profitable. There is SO much broken electronics everywhere, and me wants to fix. I've since started shocking myself with stereos, easier and I like the experience of 120 volts to the brain, those too had issues with broken solder on the chips, dried caps, abused... like TVs, no money in repair but you can usually get a service manual and they are not real complicated to fix. Most any solder repair nowadays will require hot air and a magnifying camera. Good repair equipment is SO expensive, even some of the stuff like those atlas testers are expensive.

Awesome videos, but what if the capacitors are fine? Have you run i to that? Thats what im dealing with, they look good, no swelling or anything. Also, arent the capacitors dangerous to touch? How can you tell of theyre charged and how do you discharge them safely?

Like your video's...hate the sickening music! You need to buy a flat cutter. They are not expensive, and they cut much closer to the board.

The cheaper ones like Hisense and TCL usually only have backlight issues. I got a Samsung yrs ago for 100, bad main, the board cost another 100 and took me yrs to find one. If I had good solder equipment I could repair main boards. Repair services are the way to make money, repairing main boards, but who has 2 grand for a rework machine?

Don't the sides slide? On Sony TVs, as soon as the bottom one is removed; the lateral bars slide down and the top one slides to one side. We can avoid try to force it open.

If you tear up the plastic reflector (it's not paper), you should tape it on a level surface from the other side before installing it back.

man - this is a good video, nice and detailed - love the step by step...i'm currently waiting on the gule to dry on just TWO of those lens covers. i'm hoping that's all it's gonna take. is it 100% necessary that those 3 little plugs line up with each led? any advice on side LED bleed? I have another 4k Samsung that's really nice, but the sides are bright. I tried to "massage" it and loosen the frame, but nothing really seemed to work. at least i can adjust the settings according.

I didn't understand what happened with the light thing at the start then again with that tester. What is it? how is it connected?what does it do? You lost me at about 3 min. Please try and remember most of us are not trained electronics techs. We need help understanding some basics that are just 2nd nature to you. Thanks for the effort.

I don't know if the below hack actually helped...I did this one awhile back with no result. Maybe I did it wrong, or maybe it was part of the single wire solder hack...BTW We're getting rid of the LD_ERR message coming on the Flat Flex Cable from the BMKS board to the LD board...I'm not sure removing the Tiny, tiny resistor from the LD board helped in the end...Either way, the single soldered wire on the LD to ground got rid of the 4 Blinking Red Lights...then the TEST pattern and black blotchy spots...I'll post the badcaps forum link, which was the final fix for me. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIGYZINspqaKsMk&pp=ygUPc29ueSB4YnIgcmVwYWly
Funcionou perfeitamente, segui o mesmo procedimento e não ouve erro

Dang this video is old and I could have used this years ago! It sucks this didn't come up when I searched years ago...but hopefully you can still help... I don't have the model number on hand but... It's a Samsung 55 that I found in the trash, the same symptom as this video. I opened it up and most of the LEDs were burnt out so I ordered new ones and replaced them, upon reassembly the panel slipped and I believe I damaged it... Now when it's turned on, it's all weird for a lack of better wording, believing I damaged the panel ribbon, is there a repair for this or is it basically a lost cause at this point? Our is there a source for a replacement that isn't more than a new tv unit lol
