Man Josh! That was smoky smooth! Super nice flugel playing! I know you are a young guy and many people will compare you with other great trumpet players, but I have got to tell you; You are your own man Josh! You have something special few trumpet players have; a style all "your" own! Keep it up buddy, I look forward to following your career! Thanks for posting!

Was looking for a flugelhorn and your videos helped in selection, of course tone comes from an individual but the right tools help. Love your playing now some 5 years since. All the best.

@@StoilTerziyski Hi there again - I am still using that exact same flugelhorn (CFL-6200-GSS-Bb-SLB). For me, it still sounds and plays better than any other flugel I’ve ever tried!

Thanks for your response, but can you tell me something as a player about playing on it ? What is the intonation like, maybe it have some defects, did you ever have problems with pistons etc.
@bigeyezzzzzzz

+Norbert Wardawy Ahhh, sorry - I didn't understand what you meant by "sth"in your first comment. So, to answer your question, I tried out nine different makes and models of flugelhorns when I was deciding which one I wanted, and this one clearly had the most beautiful sound, it played with the best intonation, and the valves are incredible. Frankly, I have never had any sorts of problems with it, and I love the way it feels and sounds. Of course, everybody has different likes and dislikes when it comes to musical instruments, so I suggest you try out several different brands and models so you can discover which one works best for you. Hope that helps!

Great sound. What kind of mouthpiece used you?
@bigeyezzzzzzz
@bigeyezzzzzzz 10 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! The mpc I'm using for flugel is one of the old original Jet Tone lightweight mouthpieces made by Bill Ratzenberger. I first fell in love with it when I played one that Mic Gillette has, and then I was given my own by Dave Grover.
