I believe there's something out there in the form of a bigfoot, it's a instinct, a feeling, multiple videos have watched but I wouldn't get ahead of my stations by trying to say this is called one thing and this is called the other, we haven't proven even 1 species exist yet.

I'm from central Ohio, and am "Ohio Proud" bc of our great outdoors, especially in all of southern Ohio, and eastern Ohio bc of the lack of glaciation.....where the western, central, and most of the northern portion were bulldozed flat by glaciers during the ice age. Also very proud of our giant racked whitetail buck deer (also 4th in the nation), And happy to have the 4th most Bigfoot/Grass man sightings.

A few years ago I was camping in an area close to Bigfoot territory in Ohio near Salt Fork State Park. It was late at night and I had a fire going and was sitting by it reading a book and drinking a beer. Around 11:00 p.m. I heard a strange rustling in the trees behind my tent. Then I heard low guttural growls. I stood up, turned around and as I did a huge hairy creature emerged from the woods not more that 25 feet from me. It stood 8 feet tall and had to weigh in excess of 450 pounds. I stood motionless not knowing what to do when the creature began dictating the narrative. It slowly lifted its right hand and pointed to the beer I was holding in my hand. I immediately realized the beast wanted a COLD beer. And why not? It was at least 85 degrees and so humid you could cut the air with a knife. I popped a brewsky and gave it to him and motioned for him to come sit by my fire. He capitulated and as we sat by the fire I lit a cigarette. He instantaneously became agitated and started motioning to my mouth and then to his mouth. Damn, the Dude wanted a smoke. So I lit one for Bfoot and we continued socializing, drinking our beer and having a few smokes. Eventually Bfoot's eyelids began to droop. The beer was making him sleepy. He arose, waved goodbye and walked away, whistling as he disappeared into the woods. I haven't encountered the creature again, but since then I never venture into the woods without my Bud Light and a carton of Marlboros. Hopefully I'll meet the Big Guy again with his wife and children. If so, I hope the kids are at least 21. No way I'm doing time for serving minors. I got a rep to protect.

I live in northern Indiana and I have a true story I would like to share with you. We have a cabin about 300 miles NNW of Thunder Bay Ontario. We drive till the road stops then take a float plane in to our cabin. My Dad built our cabin in 68 and we go up 3 times a year. The end of May, mid July and early Sept. One fall trip maybe 15 or 20 years ago now, we wanted to portage to a different lake. In the spring and fall if the weather was cool we would go after some Lake Trout. If I had to take a guess, I have been on that lake 30 to 40 times now. We are the only cabin on our lake and there is no cabins on the Lake Trout lake. We have 3 small boats we just leave on that lake because we go there so often. We had 6 men in 3 Boats that day. We all kinda went our own way and started fishing. It was maybe 4 hours later (around 2 or 3 pm) all 3 boats meet back up in the middle of the lake and we all killed our engines and started to eat our lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day with no clouds and the lake went completely flat, no wind at all. Ok now this is the part where you are going to think I'm nuts, so here I go. The first sound came from our north (the way back to our lake) The best way I can describe it was someone holding a note on a freaking pipe organ. The notes were perfect, not flat or anything like that. The notes would last maybe 5 to 8 seconds, that's a long time to hold a perfect note. When the one would die out, another would start from a different shore at a higher or lower note but all just perfect and sounded like a pipe organ. All the sounds were just single notes, we never heard 2 different notes at the same time. This lasted for maybe 15 or 20 min. We all 6 were hearing 20 + pipe organs play single notes around a lake with no cabins in the Canadian wilderness. The notes were extremely loud (like feel it in your chest loud) and with no wind and land no more the 400 yards away in any direction the notes would echo around a bit. My brother did not want to make the portage so he stayed in our lake with one of my uncles. Later back in our cabin we all were telling my uncle and brother what we heard. They both said they could also hear the notes from our direction. We never saw a thing and I don't know what we heard. We didn't see anything on the ground nothing in the trees, or water and boy we all were looking. About the only thing I do know there is no pipe organs around that lake. Over the years we have been back to that many times and nothing. Over the years we have asked State biologist, they look at me like I'm nuts. I even have asked a First Nation friend from that area. At least he gave me a kinda answer. Are you ready, I sure was. He said some things in nature are best left unknown. lol What that is your answer, I was so ready to find out and that's what I got. I'm the last one of the 8 people still alive who heard the pipe organ notes around a lake in the Canadian wilderness. I'm not saying it was BF, I don't have a clue but something was making the sound and I'm just trying to find out what. Thank you. Greg

The area in Ohio that I grew up in had a big shaggy wolfdog, it looked like it was half St Bernard or Irish Hound of some kind, and we all called him noname. He'd cover the whole forest in dinnerplate sized pawprints so there was no denying his existence, but it was funny that the homeless people in my area all called him "bigfoot" on account of his big paws

I actually encountered a bigfoot near Nelsonville, Ohio within Wayne National Forest back in the mid-90's. I've told the story several times on my KZbin channel over the years. I didn't see it directly, but my friends in my Jeep saw it, and one of them who was video taping our trip that day caught it on video. What happened was I stopped my Jeep Cherokee on a gravel back road to retrieve a book of music CD's from the back of the vehicle. When I opened the hatchback, my friends started scream, telling me to get back inside the truck. Me crapping my pants, slammed the hatchback closed and ran to the driver's seat and got in and locked the doors. But by the time I looked around, I didn't see it and it was gone, plus we were eager to get out of there FAST. We all watched the video many times back in the 90's and could never explain what we saw. The closest would be a bear walking upright, but we later did some video comparisons a few days later, and it was definitely much larger than a human and most likely a smaller black bear, which while rare, have been sighted in that area. The friend who recorded the video sent the video away to some bigfoot investigator instead of sending him a copy, and the video is now lost. But there were four of us that day, and the three others all saw it, except me (only on the video afterward).

My dad saw something in a part of wane national forest at dusk waiting to get picked up along the gravel road after hunting and it had RED eyes. It was next to the road about 20 yards away crouching then moved quickly away into the start of the woods and he said it looked to go about 20 feet up a tree and kept looking at him. He didn’t move and his buddy picked him up. He didn’t mention it until they were moving.. a man who grew up in the woods and didn’t want to stay and tell his buddy and try to have a look, just leave.

@@gg-mercenary7104 Sorry, typo in my original comment. The video was lost after my friend sent it to the bigfoot "investigator". I was the only person that felt it important to make copies of the video tape, and no one ever got around to it. But basically in the tape, a large black humanoid-looking creature of some kind crossed the road maybe 150-200 feet behind my Jeep. I think it was two days later, we all went back with the camcorder and stopped my Jeep exactly where I had originally stopped. My tire tracks were still clearly visible in the gravel where I had jammed on the gas to get out of there. We had one of our friends walk back to where the "creature" crossed the road and it was immediate apparent that whatever it was, it looked to be about two feet taller than my friend, who I think was either 6'1" or 6'2". The problem was the resolution of video cameras back then was not good, so in many ways, it was just a dark blur, but it was definitely a real creature/animal of some kind. It happened in the spring of either 1995 or 1996, right outside of Nelsonville, Ohio. The road is just west of Hocking College, I think it's called Riverside Drive, and turns into Wolfe-Bennett Road. Back in the mid-90's they were a mix of gravel and low-grade asphalt. We DID investigate the area around where whatever it was came out of the woods, but didn't find any tracks or anything else that would indicate a large creature was there.

@@gg-mercenary7104 Who knows what would happen if it were real? All I know is that my experience was strange, and what I saw on the video afterward is something that I cannot directly explain, regardless of our attempts many years to do so. I personally don't believe that bigfoot exists, though I'd still like to know what it was that crossed the road behind me. Still, we (myself and the friends who actually saw it with their own eyes that day) refer to the event as the "bigfoot encounter", because that's what they said it was right after I got in my Jeep and started driving away. I had told them that they had scared the living hell out of me and asked them what was going on. They were all like "DUUUUDE!! A BIGFOOT WAS RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!" I was like "Whatever!!" and we pulled off to the side of the road about a minute of driving later. My friend rewound the video tape and I watched the footage through the black & white viewfinder, and indeed could see something walking a ways behind me. I turned around and immediately went back and didn't see anything, but didn't stop and drove directly home to view the tape. That's when we all watched it together. We were calling people, people were calling us to see the tape for days. But everyone's first reaction to seeing the tape at the time was "that's a bigfoot". I'm still perplexed by what it actually was or could have been, but it makes for an interesting story to tell. I just wish my numbskull friend hadn't sent that guy the original tape, because now it's lost forever and I have no way to back up the validity of my story other than to recollect the event with the friends who witnessed it with me. Otherwise, people are free to chalk it up to "just another 'lost the tape' story", and I totally get it. I'd feel exactly the same way. But I didn't see it other than on the tape, and I was the IN the tape. Anyway, discuss!!

Hello. I am from Gallia County, Ohio inside Wayne National Forest. We own 94 acres of forest on top of a big hill on the main property next to a large area of government land. I had six strange unexplained frightening experiences over a period of a few decades. Yet, I am still not sure what to believe regarding the paranormal and cryptids. I do not want to automatically immediately jump to the wrong conclusions. I need real clear present hard evidence and co-witnesses in case my brain fabricates or becomes ill lol.

Been hundreds and most likely many thousand of sightings and encounters with the Bigfoot in Wayne National Forest. Ohio may well have the most sightings and encounters of any state this side of the Rocky Mountains. I live in Darke County, Ohio and have had one tap on my window late November of 2013. This is farming country and mostly flat and unforested, however it does have enought cover for them to hide out during the day and manuver for easy food to capture or steal off farms at night time. Have a good friend that got really freaked out seeing one at late night coming home from his work, run in fromt of his auto about 1 mile north of the small town of Ludlow Falls, Ohio on the Stillwater River.

I've had quite a few sightings/encounters in Northern Indiana (right near the border of Michigan), and the photo used in this video for the "grass man" is what the bigfoots here look like: lanky with big eyes, dark fur - sienna or black. They mind their own business, for the most part - might watch you from afar or follow you, but they keep their distance. But, if you start looking for them or spending a lot of time in or near their territory (going out at night without lights, going into deeper woods off trails, making a permanent shelter and cooking, doing wood knocks and howls), they'll scare the crap out of you. Follow YOU home. Just leave them alone, and 99.9% of the time they'll leave you alone. Sadly, though, there are a quite a few reports of people going missing across the U.S. and Canada that point to predation by bigfoots or worse. I haven't seen nor found any evidence of "dogmen", but I've had friends who have and I can't help but wonder if a couple of my bigfoot encounters were dogmen.

Saw 1 cross a dirt road in Northern Michigan Sunday May 23rd , 2021 at 3pm broad daylight. In the Manistee National Forest. 8ft tall, light grey fur, extremely thin, it was crouched down on all 4's then stood straight up and crossed the road in 3 huge steps into the pine woods and disappeared. I had 6 kids with me who witnessed also. Long arms, hands swung below knees, slightly hunched forward, no visible ears, short neck. Our hunting buddy also witnessed one walking through the woods opening day gun hunting, no orange, no gun, grey in color. We've heard wood knocks and banging on our cabin at night. Lots of activity in Michigan!!!

Being 75, I've spent a lot of time in the woods as a kid, and a modern archery/shotgun hunter. I haven't heard or read about Bigfoot in the last 5 years. I hunt NW Ohio and the Allegheny national forest and no one has ever spoke about this animal. Been hunting in Pa for 20+ years, and all I see is black bears. Why are all the pictures and video's blurry, I claim that they are fake with all the modern camera's that should have very good pics. Non believer..

One can take the number of BFRO reports and times it by 100 and probably a lot more, to get a more accurate basis of actual Bigfoot sightings and encounter in Ohio, especially in SE and Eastern, OH, but they have been seen in every county. You mentioned John Hickenbottom who works, I believe, for the Ohio DNR and they in conjunction with John put out a 4 part series at this time 2 years ago on Bigfoots in Ohio, characteristic of them and such. One part has over 1 million views. Why would the OH DNR do this? Even though there are folks in this organization that know they exist, maybe most do, but will not tell you for fear of job loss, I have wondered why the OH DNR did this. Best guess is to drum up tourist activity at Ohio's state park run facilities and such.

Here in the dense Dark Woods of Middle and East Europe we don't have Bigfoots, only bears and wolves ;) Ok, enough laughed, they are real, and there exists thousands. In special Northamerica is full of Sasquatch/Bigfoot encounters and thousands of long caves... I wonder that until now nobody has catched one of this 8-12 feet creatures, with all that high tech equipment you can use. Have they really tried all possibilities? First of all you need a team, this is nothing for single researchers. 2. you need real life and experienced hunters and forest knowers 3. you need army proved soldiers too, because they have the instinct for danger 4. all need a good physical condition, so this is nothing for people over 50 5. all must have done outdoor survival training 6. you need a perfect standard equipment: binoculars, night vision goggles, flares, long flashlights with enough batteries, headlamps, infrared detectors, wildlife cameras all over the area you are investigating, headcameras, a.s.o. 7. you need extra devices, like DRONES and LIDAR to scan the whole area you are researching 8. you need witnesses that are guiding you to the creaturezone 9. you need deadly weapons as well as anaestatic weapons yo normally use for bears 10. you need a perfect shelter for your camp, if a lot of this creatures try to kill you in the night... that means NO TENTS! More like a wooden fortress with very thick walls and roofs, secured with a steel grid cage at the outside, because they are really strong 11. you need german shepherd dogs to warn you, because this creatures stink very much and they can smell them from a far distance, and are well educated to not bark at them, and they need muzzles. 12. you need a good strategy, a well thought plan, and a clear distribution of tasks, as well as a not dictatorlike leader. 13. and I would try a trick of Nepalesians and Tibetans: set up a large cauldron and cook a fragrant meat soup... that attracts her curiosity... 14. what also attracks their curiosity is music of birdtwitter, harps and flutes... play beautiful sounds from your Portable Player or Smartphone connected with a little speaker of good soundquality (maybe from JBL) and don't speak over a hour. You can also try drums, because they like to smash trunks against trunks 15. don't trample through the wood like a rhino, and talk only if really necessary in a low tone, better whisper 16. use modern exploring robotdogs or Atlas from Boston Dynamics ;) Is all that not possible in Canada and the US?! Are there no capable people for this adventure? Should skilled europeans help you? :P

Watch the insurance video the Snelgrove outpost owner took in the episode Sasquatch Attack that Meldrum appeared to document the damage BF allegedly perpetrated. The Monsterquest video editors should have deleted the part showing the front door from the inside. You can see the metal mesh screen covering the glass window on the floor that had to be punched in by the vandal so they could unlock the door from the outside. It's why you don't see any damage of BF kicking in the door. The cabin owner also recorded the woodstove and the chimney pipe spreading soot everywhere. Odd he didn't record BF's footprints in the soot. If you lookup Snelgrove lake on Google maps, you'll see an Indian village named Slate Falls just a few miles away. It's where the teen vandals that trashed the cabin reside. Meldrum and Curt Nelson from U of Minn should have caught these anomalies, but it's what happens when you believe BF is real. Critical thinking and objectivity flies out the window.

If you watched this episode, actually they did maybe a year or 2 apart, you would know that the owner, after the alleged bear attack of his cabin, so he thought, put out a board to the door entry with a lot of screws, that was stepped on by someone with a foot 17 inches long by about 8 or 9 inches wide, according to the blood trail left. Curt Nelso was a biologist who scrapped some blood samples from the board and ran DNA testing he did himself, I believe, and the results came back unknown primate with indicators closer to us humans than any know primate in the DNA record. Those folks were also under attack from rocks and stones during the first episode. I seriously doubt some native villagers came out to do this.

I'd like more details on what you mean by Meldrum's faith interfering with his ability to study and speculate about these animals. Unless you're talking about supernatural explanations for them,in which case it would be his scientific mindset, not religious one, that prevents that. He is trying to prove these are real biological animals after all.
