FRESNO, California - It's an age-old mystery − Bigfoot − and whether it's real or not, and man who says he witnessed Sasquatch popped into Fresno Saturday.
Bob Gimlin, the second half of the legendary duo and film, Patterson-Gimlin, claims to have captured the mysterious creature on film decades ago.

Drew Shourd LOL you think they had monkey suits that looked that good back then? They hardly have em in 2019!.. watch the breakdown analysis on this video you can clearly see the muscle movement under the skin and the fact it has breasts.. or just do a google search for “man in ape suit” and you’ll see even the best one looks completely fake.. now consider this was 1967 and how it so effortlessly walks thru a dry river bed. Whatever that was it wasn’t a man in a suit, that’s just the easiest answer for people who don’t want to think that there’s an undiscovered animal that the mighty white man hasn’t discovered.. people like you said the same thing about the giant squid and mountain gorilla only to be proven WRONG!.. sorry but if yer intelligent enough, you can clearly see it cant be a suit.. and if it was, it was the best suit in the world and woulda been millions.. nobody has ever produced the actual suit either.. there have been a few tards who claimed to have been the man “in the suit” too 😂. Open yer eyes man. It’s really not that hard to conceive of. I know for a FACT these things exist and couldn’t care less what the ignorant say because their opinions are illformed

Glad I saw this. The man is 100% believable. If you have ever seen something so rare and unexpected, it is a mix of emotions that you have to process and then try to convey to others. I know this first hand. I saw something in Gettysburg military park on a rainy evening well after sundown. My wife and I were parked at the base of Little Round Top. And we both saw a ball of light come up out of the ground about 2 feet off the ground. It moved to the left, then back to the right, went back to center, and closed down as it went back into the ground. She was really shook up and started to cry, and I was just in shock and almost disbelief as to what had just happened. I have always been careful who I told this too, because you know peoples first reaction is to not believe you. Just like this man says..."I know what I saw". I believe him.

Patterson never admitted any said hoax and said on his death bed the creature was real, Bob even refused to talk for a while. Bob Gimlin very well did appreciate the amount of money he gained but even then he declined $1,000,000 to say it was a hoax because according to him “the creature was real and saying it was a hoax would be dishonest, which he wasn’t.” I’m not saying you’re experience with Gimlin isn’t true, but seeing the proportions and the fact the said suit is way better then anything at the time screams that it’s a real animal, yet the reputation of Patterson kind of ruins the film for some people.

If circumstantial evidence can put a felon away for life in court, then it's good enough for me at the moment to be on the side of "this probably is a thing." None of it is proof, however. Proof is what we need. In fact, with every technological advancement in video stabilization, the added detail has only made the creature in the film more obviously real. We can see muscle groups flexing, the bare soles of Patty's feet, and her fingers curling and extending with each step -- thats movement of fingers and hands which hang on very long arms. These details have been studied by the experts in Cryptozoology as well and film making and special effects. They all state that what the film shows could not have been achieved in 1967, and cannot be duplicated now.

That's an interesting point; it's probably because this film is still so divisive; a film adaptation of the whole story leading up to and including the making of this one-minute film and everything that happened afterward, would ultimately have to come out on either the "real" or "hoax" side, or it wouldn't satisfy any audience. As someone born in the 60s it's interesting to me how much staying power this film has had. I remember hearing about it a couple of times when I was a kid; once I think I saw a snippet of the film in a TV advertisement for some documentary feature. It was confusing to be because it was interspersed with close-up footage of "ape-men" that was obviously fake and made specifically for the documentary, yet I remember the announcer saying something about the film of the creature walking away in the distance being claimed by the filmmaker to be a real "Bigfoot", i.e., some strange creature that was not human. I learned a bit about it in 6th grade social studies class when we did a current affairs unit that covered mysteries and the paranormal, like UFOs, the Loch Ness monster, and Bigfoot. We were encouraged to be sceptical about it, just like other unprovable phenomenon like ghosts and ESP. I never gave much more thought to it until I saw the film again in an episode of the the A & E TV documentary series Ancient Mysteries, in the 1990s. It was shown at the end of a sequence of a number of other videotaped, filmed, or photographed claimed sightings of Bigfoot, all of which had long since been debunked as fakes or just cases of mistaken identity, eg. bears standing on their hind legs, or unusually-shaped tree stumps. It was presented as the only visual evidence that has still not be conclusively proven to be faked. The difference between it and all those other laughably unconvincing pieces of "evidence" was striking. I don't understand how do many people find it so easy to write this film off as just another hoax; they must just refuse to really look at it closely.

And had to cut them up to get out of the swamp and fly them on a float plane. You have to look deep to see its not just bullshit, peter does a great job of making 99% of the people laugh and dismiss his own videos and now he finally realizes he went too far in the mockery. For those who continue to remain critical of Bob’s story, even after studying the evidence, as well as, logically considering all of the variables involved, all I ask of you is to submit a sensible, reasonable answer to only one question: why would these two grown men put forth the amount the time, money, and resources they did in order to design and manufacture a very believable full-body hair suit (probably the first of its kind) and then, PUT BOOBS ON IT??? Yes, the Patterson/Gimlin Bigfoot has fully developed breasts, indicating that it is a female. Why in god’s name would anyone attempting to FAKE the most involved Sasquatch sighting of all time put big dangly boobs on it??? Please also keep in mind that at the time that this footage was shot, “Bigfoot” was not the massive cultural phenomenon it is today…it became that way, in large part, BECAUSE OF this footage. For those insisting that it can’t be real simply because “It looks fake”, the question begs to be asked, “How can one criticize the legitimacy of the appearance of a thing no one has ever seen?” Flat Earthers use this brand of logic quite often, insisting that the images of space, Earth, the moon, other planets, etc are all CGI and don’t actually exist, because it all looks so manufactured, like a movie. I don’t think it’s necessary for me to break down the thinking required here in order to recognize the fallacy of such a statement, as it is impossible for a person to either confirm or refute the legitimacy of a thing they have never actually seen, themselves. One area of study that I find the most compelling, with regard to the potential existence of the entity we call ‘Bigfoot’, is that of body mechanics. It doesn’t take much time or analysis to recognize the key differences that exist in the way that the physical bodies of humans and gorillas function and operate. This also applies to creature we know as Sasquatch. If you go over to ThinkerThunker’s channel and watch the latest 3 or 4 videos he’s released, it becomes very apparent that not only are there drastic differences in the way their bodies behave in relation to our own, but those differences are remarkably consistent. Apes, especially gorillas, tend to have much shorter legs and much longer arms than humans, they have virtually no neck, a “pointed” head, extremely wide shoulders, etc…all qualities that we see in the most legitimate documented Bigfoot sightings available on film. They also tend to lean forward when either walking or running, and their leading and trailing legs make an approx 90 degree angle when walking…which, if attempted by a human, resembles something akin to the human imitation of a chicken. Anyway, I highly recommend spending considerable time checking out the videos on TT’s channel, for anyone truly interested in studying this amazing phenomenon.

Answer on your question why to put breast on suit, well this is about inteligence lvl, and the reason why would they do it is exactly your way of thinking, because it create illusion that its real, because who would do that right? Do you understand this paradox? “Lets make sasquatch female so people will be even more confused that who on earth would do that””, why not male?”.. dont undersetimate peoples creativity and inteligence, I dont claim its fake, to me its also bizare that even Patterson insisted that its real till he died, who would die as liar for some stupid foptage right? Or maybe he believed on sasquatch, even saw one so he decided to create at least fake footage to break taboo of this topic, and he refused to confest truth because in his mind it was truth. But who knows, there is so much dust created around this footage, begining with guy claiming he is one in that suit, he can be also payed to lie for discrediting this footage for whoevers reason, you can find on both sides so many motivation to lie.. Pattison had already published a book about Bigfoot and was now setting out to make a film about Bigfoot, so he had a high motive to film it. They set out to an area where "bigfoot" had been spotted by others recently. I don't know if the bigfoot was real on not, but in my opinion it was not. They couldn't get an actor who was eight to ten feet tall (like a grizzly standing on its hind legs) so they had to make the costume a six foot female. Maybe it was some guy who didn't work for Pattison or Gimlin but was wandering around in a bigfoot costume, pranking people. A very sophisticated costume mind you.

In 2000 i lived just west of the Minerva Monster sighted by The Caytons in 1978. While living in East Canton in the woods by my house one night the dogs west of me started barking after about ten minutes in the woods next to my house i heard a eerie howl then i heard a cackling noise kinda screechy like a chicken being ripped apart . Then the lil dog up the street on the other side of the woods started barking. Then up on the hill across the road the german shepard started to bark an growl so something was moving to the East. Little did i know that in February 2001 while driving up my street my sons friend we were in his pickup when we were almost to the top of the hill a bigfoot came running across the road. They can run like lightning if you woulda blinked you would have missed him. My sons friend was terrified he will not talk about it to this day.
