There's the kosmos led kit for this one, and it looks amazing, cost about as much as the kit, but at least it's better than antyhing bandai is producing led wise

Real Grades are 1/144 Master Grades with a different name for marketing reasons.

Newer MG is locked on P bandai if that any consolation for you Bandai new lines are kinda dumb nowadays, all their older stuff is stupid hard to get

@@Bionickpunk Yeah, but not all of us like toiling over tiny tiny pieces and parts. Especially when the kit has a lot of detail but it's so small. It makes painting more difficult. Some of the larger RGs are good sizes, like the Hi-Nu or Zeong. (I also realize the kit is based off the actual height of the MS but 144th of that size.)

They didnt actually, they just shifted beyond the 1/100 scale. RGs are basically 1/144 MGs. Now we have MGSDs, and MGEXs are 1/100 MGs with even more features. Full Mechanics are what MGs were years ago.

The line between MG is difficult On EX, you have 1/100 PG On SD, you have slightly weird RG On MG, sometime you can't really tell if its full mechanic line, or is it MG? Especially zaku warrior & ginn Alot of designer was also moved to RG i think, its stupidly detailed for 1/144, even today's MG is lower in FRAME detail nowadays, RG FRAME detail is what MG FRAME was & even more, may even PG level detail

@@Bionickpunk What you just said literally supports OPs statement though. Yeah Rgs are as detailed as MG's are and even better in some cases, but its still 1/144. MGSD's, nice 1/100 scale and good detail, but its SD design. MGEX, basically MG's with a super gimmick, but at 3-4 times the price nearing or equivalent to some PG's. And the gimmicks low key suck. The Unicorn's led's allegedly die quickly and the Strike Freedom's gold plastic was only good if you didnt plan to paint. And if Full mechanics are what MG's were years ago then wtf is a standard MG supposed to be nowadays? MG Rick 1.5? Or the slightly different Rick Dom? And those 2 Rick kits are the only standard MGs released in 2022. There will be 1 standard MG release this year at best, and no I'm not counting the ver ka.

@@RayFChungThere is no standard anything nowadays, all of their model kits are of various quality, even the grade labels and scales are not as clear cut as people expect. Is it frustrating? Absolutely, I dont like inconsistency as well, but thats on Bandai being all over the place and gimmicky with labels and features, some more successful than others. To me the more frustrating thing is that the restock of old kits is pretty slow and now we have even less international sites that sell them (RIP AmiAmi Gunpla selection). Missed out on kits like the MG AGE 1 Normal, and Age kit restocks are every blue moon.

I'm kinda curious , I remember building the Barbatos lupus rex full mechanics and the leg peg broke when I moved the leg forward to attach a part on the rear of the kit. The pegs any better on Ariel or did the gunpla god decide to poop on me that day lol
