Amazing video, thanks for letting me experience this build without having to do it myself. BTW, look into the dual base ISO feature for the A7SIII for getting your noise under control. You should be able to look this up based on which picture profile you're using and that will help you find the best settings for noise performance.

So about what you were talking about how your camera is giving you bad image noise. It could be just that you’re not at your sensors native iso. Idk what it is for your Sony but on my Fuji XT4 it’s at 640 and another is 2000. I’ve literally watched them live diminish significantly when just going one third stop from 1600 to 2000 in very low light situations when I’m shooting events. But if you stick with whatever your Sonys native ISO is then you shouldn’t have much noise problems. Though it works best when I’m Filming in flog. Maybe you need to be in one of Sonys slog profiles.

I am currently building the Nu Gundam Ver Ka as I watch this. I am a painter at heart but this thing is scary. Might have to build this one in the plastic and do another one my style.

Out of all of your builds this one is my favourite so far. Elegant simplicity and I think the fact you made it for yourself and put in the dedication to the process says a lot. You will always know that everything was done as well as it could be. Reminds me of the the 1/72 modellers that add wiring to their tiny plane cockpits that no one will ever see or notice but just because they believe that it should be done, that dedication to the craft is something to be admired. Looking forward to the next ones.

10:00 regarding noise, the a7siii has a dual native ISO in slog3, its normal that at a certain point when you go up, you reach the second base iso(i believe 12.500). at base ISO your noise will be relative low and clean. but if you are in the first iso range(<12.500) on the high end, like 10k, it will be noisier than at 12.500, since thats a second base iso and will give a relatively clean image. most cameras have 1 or 2 (sometimes 3) base iso's, and finding the sweetspot of having enough exposure and low noise is tricky, but its not an issue or defect with your camera. Canons could also have this, some canons might not have a second base iso and look even worse at high values.

As a filthy, filthy Gundam casual, I only came across the Nu thanks for SRW, and then the Hi Nu later. Saying that, my first kits came from Toys R Us back in the day, and were Wing kits, I think. Deathscythe, Heavyarms, Epyon, and a couple of others. I think they would be classed as Entry Grade these days.
