Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Thank you for giving a shout out to the truckers. So many people are working behind the scenes like yourself and the people you mentioned in the video. We need to be thankful that the country has not come to a complete halt. Our food supply would be greatly disrupted if not for our farmers, truckers, warehousemen, dispatchers, and so many more behind the scenes people that the average American takes for granted. The average American thinks that all those shelves at the grocery stores get filled automatically and magically somehow. Keep doing the great work you are doing and also the great videos that could be used to document how complex that farming is in these modern times. Let people know it takes someone like you that has to be self-motivated to make sure all small and large details are taken care of. Again I wish I had the energy that you young guys have. On a personal note, we have a young couple that we have been mentoring to take over and partner with us, so one day, they can continue on with our trucking business. Keep up the great work.

Mr Millennial, I are a old logger so call me a cavetime adviser: Take something that can get down in that soft spot a good three minimum feet, It would be better if it were a good five or so till you figure out how this works... stack logs from your forest there, like the one that has little value as it will here. Build a cord wood bed across the muddy spot an past a bit. Then fully bury with your rock mud making sure that the cord wood is totally covered. What happens is above ground and not touching dirt, it dries and hardens or in the ground totally buried it will stay sound for years but if it gets air, then it will rot in a season. It is the same as using mats to move equipment across the mud / muskeg here and lasts for many years as in like some here are twenty to thirty years old and we are driving various rigs across it for miles as it just is ice deep down an our warm summers is bringing the frost out of the ground. I know it is embarrassing to have rotten corn, bean or otherwise laying around the food bins but it happens. I think if it drys enough then you can get to it and shovel it into a area that the skidsteer can load it up and your can use it for composting the soil. I don't know if it would try to seed the area or not but I am confident a farmer can figure it out. Those logs should do the trick but try to get a couple layers on the spot needing covered

What do you think if this Nation were to Neighbor up with eachother & dishonor all money and turned to love & kindness to pay it forward? Im going to start reaching out to all farmers regarding this notion so we can all be ready from the wrong doers in control of this government who are threatening our freedoms & rigjts each day. I hope & pray that you could share this notion with each & every farmer you know regarding, paying it forward with love and kindness insted of using money. If this nation would turn to kindness to pay it forward, then all the simple essentials would become free! Like free food, free housing, free healthcare, free travel without borders & free from crime because money wouldn't be the root to all evil anymore! Zach, remember all the folks you mentioned are only the support group for the life blood of existence......FARMERS.... the most unappreciated selfless spirits. Without farmers and there humble strength and unparalleled drive nothing is possible, NOTHING. FARMERS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF LIFES TRIANGLE, hence the reason they get stepped on and forgotten.....FARMERS WE LOVE YALL..... GOD BLESS...

Zach, first thank you for the compliment. I don’t mean to sound corny. I’m a firefighter, and while I won’t say I’m on the front lines, I do put my training to use to help others. You also need to pat yourself on the back because you and farmers like you are keeping us all fed, your corn is being used to fuel my truck so I can get to work, and farmers are growing the raw materials needed to make important PPE items. So a big THANK YOU to you Zach and all the other farmers out there. You guys stay safe and keep feeding and supplying the world! God bless you.

Kinda funny how farmers are considered one of the most important jobs in the world but yet we make so much less money how does that happen.

We had frost heaves on our farm and lots of low spot ruts in our yard. We got red gravel granite. Helped a lot even after 15 years it’s still pretty solid ground.

I Thankyou you Zach for addressing the important people during these difficult times, but most importantly this country moves by truck and as a extrucker I couldn't imagine facing these difficult times especially trying to find a place to eat other than a truck stop and the farmers feeding America. And all our medical workers and military stepping up to help out where needed. Watching you explain things about working your planter over as when I was involved with farming as a hiredman I would work machinery over during the winter in the shop where it was out of the wind in front of a knipco to stay warm. And I totally reworked every row on a 12 row from fold back in the mid 80's and the boss came in the shop and I said I was done with the planter and he says Oh I have some news for you I traded the planter off for a new one and they will be coming out to get this one and I'm like really lol. I love your videos and your line of green machinery.

Zack, when you go through the top of a road, you have to dig it out a bit over 2 feet deep and pack in hard clay (pack it down), if you can find some, and cover with pit run, then screened gravel. Otherwise like you said, you will be dealing with it for 10 years or so. God bless, stay safe

Zach, get a safety harness and a tie off lanyard for when you need to climb a) up the bin ladders and b) need to crawl around in the bin on top of the grain stored. As kids we used to play in the bins in the stored barley / wheat, never realizing the danger present. Until one of my brothers almost got swallowed in the grain. Harnesses and lanyards are a BIG issue in the oilpatch and I've learned that they're cheap compared to a lost life.
