I like your new rod I can't wait until a big cat pulls a bow in that rod. . Here we fish in the Mississippi River with big baits and big sinkers. The big rods are for handling those big baits as much as landing big cats. Try a black perch, bullhead or blue gill the size of your hand on a 10/o or 12/o hook. Big fish take big baits. Oh. By-the-way try it at night when the big boys go on the prowl.
@borfishing76908 жыл бұрын
I finally got a good one on it. Can't tell the weight yet. It is in a future vid and will be a guessing contest. Thanks for the info Terry.

Many years ago I had a mentor who was first and foremost a bank fisherman. He lived in eastern Oklahoma. He would not go fishing if the moon was shining. If the moon was up at night he fished in the day time. He was the best cat fisherman I have ever known.

@oberlinjrcortez11078 жыл бұрын
try loosening the drag or open the bail so whenever your not paying attention or the fish is just nibbling at the bait, it won't feel the resistance and take the bait for confidently and it'll result in more fish. dont give it all your mine to run but a fair amount and then reel in. especially of your using circle hooks. great video keep them up
@borfishing76908 жыл бұрын
I'm going to try this. It has been on my mind. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your fishing videos. If you keep all the catfish and release the gars the time will come when you only catch gars. Nice to see you let that one go. I do the same often putting a fish on a Stringer only to release it a little while later. I have one suggestion for you. Quit putting your reels down in the sand. Drop them in your pole holder while you handle your fish. Nothing harder on a reel then sand. Thanks again for sharing.
