In my 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander review I'll tell you why the bigger version is better. The Toyota Grand Highlander 2024 model year is a 3-row SUV that directly competes with the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, and Kia Telluride.
You've got three powertrain choices to pick from including the gas model, the hybrid model, and the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Max. The Hybrid Max is the most powerful making 362 horsepower from a 2.4L 4-cylinder turbo Hybrid MAX. The Toyota Grand Highlander interior is also more luxurious and tech-packed than the regular Grand Highlander. Not to mention this is the perfect family SUV!

How were the vented seats did they actually work well because in my Acura mdx with the 2 tone seat materials I can’t ever feel any air coming from the seats.

When they use the term Hybrid Max, I thought it would get way more MPG than 26/27/27. The Hybrid Limited gets more MPG than the Hybrid Max. Hmmmmmm I guess the use of "having" more power" is the reason why the Max gets the lesser of the full economy. When I get a new vehicle, I like to buy the fully loaded trim. I'll have to recheck what I will be missing out on if I get the Limited instead of the Max.

I like this a lot, and it is on my short list, but once again Toyota (and Hyundai and Kia and Mazda and others) force me to get 2nd row captains chairs. I need a 2nd row bench (family of 5, need all the space with 3rd row folded down for cargo) and have the bucks to spend on the Platinum trim (I want all the features.) I wish manufacturers would quit doing this and at least offer a 2nd-row bench as an option on the top trim. Is that too much to ask? Apparently it is. Although jumping up to luxury vehicles, it appears that the 2023/4 Genesis GV80 has a 2nd row bench seat! I'm really surprised and it makes me wonder why their mainstream offerings don't do this. Acura MDX also has a bench 2nd row, and back in mainstream, so does Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder, and Ford Explorer. It's just that, overall, I'd rather have a Toyota (assuming the much higher complexity drivetrain is as reliable as the old V6.) For simplicity, the V6 in the Honda/Acura/Ford/Nissan/Korean products may end up being the most reliable over 10 years of ownership. Certainly with any hybrid vehicle there's the battery pack to consider, especially if you keep your vehicles as long as I do (often 20+ years.) Much to think about.

It’s a very powerful hybrid and planetary CVT. The Pilot has a rubber band V6. When the belt goes, the engine blows.
