My mom found my childhood dmg as well and gave it to me. Hopefully you had removed the batteries. I had not. Over 20 years in an attic and battery leakage mine was in bad shape. Was a fun little project for my son and I and we managed to get it running on all original parts. Now he can play on it at the same age that i was when i got it and played it.

They got the grid colour wrong, it's supposed to be a bit lighter than the background colour so it more accurately emulates the Dot Matrix screen. Making it black makes the entire image darker and it looks kinda weird imho. Is there a way to change it maybe?

Hi, I've fitted one of these but want a new glass outer - the standard ones appear to be 2mm too small. What should I be looking for? To be more specific, I feel as though the original glass viewable area is 48mm and this new model requires 50mm? Thanks

Folding the big ribbon cable in half is a no go because it is possible for the metal in the cable to break.

I got a question. I installed the ripsv4 backlight kit. But for some reason the gameboy with the ripsv4 has kinda destroyed the graphics chip of 3 different pokemon games. It destroyed the grass sprites.....why is this? Its driving me nuts. I dont wanna stick games in that ripsv4 gameboy anymore. Please help

That is something. Never heard of anything like that before, I assume you then tried the games in a normal gameboy and the graphical issues persist ?
