The previous iteration of this kit used a much better LCD but it looks like they swapped to the LCD they were using for an even older version (V3) instead (or at least very similar). The OSD/V4 version looks much better than this one BUT this one supports outputting to a TV. If you don't care for that feature then the older iteration of this kit is better in every other way.

If you need more help than that, I'd recommend joining one of the many discord servers linked there and posting in the various troubleshooting channels. I do not respond to emails or DMs with troubleshooting requests.
I use a handy and free open source test suite for both GB and GBA -- 240p-test-mini. They are both very good for checking alignment, aspect ratio, color reproduction, and other aspects with aftermarket screen kits: github.com/pin...
