The producer of this does not know the difference between an otter and a beaver.

The largest extinct land mammal known was long considered to be Paraceratherium orgosensis, a rhinoceros relative thought to have stood up to 4.8 m (15.7 ft) tall, measured over 7.4 m (24.3 ft) long and may have weighed about 17 tonnes.

Why would you show footage of an otter when narrating about beavers?

Camels don't store water but fat that they then process.

How did we get from these ice-age giants to todays animals with no links in between and in such a short period of time??
@trvth1s4 жыл бұрын
Todays animals are the same as ice age animals. In fact we are still in the ice age but it has been slowly warming up the last 10k years. Also we have had many different ice ages. Believe it or not modern humans, modern lions tigers etc lived in the same time as saber toothed cats like smilodon. Brown bears had tried to come to north America for millions of years but could not because flat faced bears prevented them by filling the niche, but as soon as flat faced bears went extinct brown bears colonized north America

There's a lot of misinformation in this: and camels *do not* store water!

No, camels do store water in their humps.
@ImmortalSynn3 жыл бұрын
@@ElephantforEx you are ignorant. No camel (or hell) mammal species stores liquid water in a hump. It's just fat. Fat has high water content, but it's not water in itself.

2800 lbs is the maximum size for todays American Bison. The Giant Long Horned Bison got up 4500 lbs.
@trvth1s4 жыл бұрын
If environment allows it todays bison can get that big through the generations, biomechanically they are very similar. It's not like birds which are avian theropoda, yet they have a major size constraint due to their stance which will never allow them to get as big as non avian theropoda

humans did not kill all of them, as invasive species we likely played a big role in Australia but we lived along side the other monsters for hundreds of thousands of years, and other humans for millions of years, but the maximum glaciation event 12k years ago killed off a lot of big herbivores which took out a lot of big carnivores.
