Thank you for watching! A lot of you have asked for a local bike shop series . What would you all be most interested to see? Interactions with customers/repairs. How we deal with vendors? Etc.

Thanks for your roundup and insider recollections and, as a long-ago Top-40 deejay, thanks for puking from time to time, too, funny stuff that on the radio back in the '70s would sound like, "You got the BOSS MOSS on your RADIO, 4:15, 71 degrees, and this is GRAND FUNK!" 😀

It's funny you mentioned Peloton because I actually left Zwift for Peloton 4 years ago. Long story short, I am a Peloton cult member now. The PowerZone classes as well as their strength and conditioning classes have helped me become a better road cyclist and runner.

Coming from manufacturing what I’ve noticed over the decades is all companies produce like hell until it don’t sale then short production hours until it does.

I just bought a fat tire bike with studded tires and rode outside. Going across a frozen lake is much better than staring at a screen LOL

That actually sounds like a blast!

Why would you "hope the best" for a company that makes crappy product?? Do you also hope someone will buy that bike and have lots of problems??

I hope the best for their blue collar employees to find new jobs once said company goes under. I also hope the degenerates running the company are polite when they collect my garbage at 5am, sometime in the near future.

BMC bikes are so overpriced.

I would agree

The same goes for Specialized, Cannondale, Trek and all other name brand manufacturers. Speaking of: Who in their right mind would pay over $500 for a Trek?!?! That's like buying a Oldsmobile super-car for $58k. Yes, that actually exists.

F 'em... People are finding out these name brand manufacturers are just building bikes in Asia for $400 and selling them in the US for $4,000. To make matters worse, they over-stocked these overpriced bikes thinking people would still pay extortionate prices for them. Greed + mismanagement = bankruptcy✔ People still want (or need) new bikes, but the average person (who doesn't wear lycra) can't justify spending thousands on a bike in cycling shops that treat their customers like they're nuisances. Probably why online, budget brand bikes sales are on the rise.
